They get 1 star for acting like they care about your situation. They don't handle things in a timely manner. They don't have people available to speak with, and when you email them it can take up to 3 days for a response. On 3/28/2025, I reached out to financial aid to see if I would have enough funding to retake my last class for graduation, and let them know that if not I would not need a schedule. I get two emails from Benjamin Lass persistent on confirming a class schedule because I didn't want to confirm a schedule before hearing back from financial aid. After his last email I just confirm it, following up on my request to withdraw days after classes now have started, Benjamin Lass sends me emails about attendance. I then send another email but attached the registrar, financial aid, advisor, I even message the instructor to inform them that I am trying to withdraw before being charged for a course fees, and I needed the funding sent back to the servicer for the grant. I talked to Michael, Benjamin Lass supervisor, he says he is going to see if there is anything they could do to help me be able to take the class. I stress to him that I shouldn't be getting charged for a course, if I made it clear with multiple departments that I wish to withdraw before classes started, days after classes started, and 8 days after classes started. They have me still enrolled in a class that I am not participating in, but could be harmful to me. On 4/19/2025, I just received a book order confirmation from them, like stop charging me, I should have a zero balance, charges need to be removed, and funding needs to be sent back. Classes started 4/7/2025, I emailed financial aid, made it clear that if I didn't have enough funding, to not schedule me so I wouldn't get charged because I couldn't afford any out of pocket expense on 3/28/2025. Per financial aid's response, I reiterated that I need to be withdrawn to all departments on 4/15/2025. That's 6 business days after school started, as they count before any refunds or charges are posted. That's 8 days total after classes started to follow up on my wishes yet again to be withdrawn, this time attaching multiple departments. I should have a...
Read moreI will recommend Rasmussen College as an excellent choice for motivated and self-disciplined individuals who are looking for a fast-paced environment to get their Degree sooner. First off, I want to start by saying that Rasmussen has been my school from an Associate Degree to now Bachelor’s Degree. One advice I will give to students considering Rasmussen College would be self-motivation because it is a fast-paced environment, and you must come ready to put in the time and effort. I had my Associate degree in Brooklyn Park Campus, and there were many challenges, but I am happy that there were excellent instructors who guided me through my Degree. I am currently in the Bachelor’s Program at the St. Cloud campus for Information Technology Management. I am taking classes online, and most of the instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive. Some instructors are not as understanding or helpful, but the majority of them are supportive and would answer emails soon enough or respond to my concerns whenever I reach out. Live lectures are beneficial, and I will usually reach out to the instructor if I do not understand any topic. Rasmussen has many resources to help students, especially writing papers, scheduling for peer tutors, citation, APA formatting, etc. I was able to pass my scripting course, thanks to peer tutoring. There are many other activities within the school that one can participate in or be part of. They also have career services to help graduates with resume, certifications, job search, and more. The one person that has been so understanding, supportive, and always willing to find ways to make my experience at Rasmussen the best has been my Advisor Brittany Eidem. She walked me through my program, making adjustments along the way as needed each time I came to her for advice. Another person I will like to thank is Lancelot Davies Grant from the Brooklyn Park Campus, who has also been very supportive during this journey. Thank you,...
Read moreRasmussen is not a college I would recommend for medical billing and Coding. Went through the process of the schooling, had a few professors that would NOT help you learn anything, would give you videos to watch to help you instead of them spending time as they should and getting paid to do nothing. Rasmussen also makes it known that they will in fact help you get a job after you graduate specially if you don't work in a medical office, they in fact DO NOT HELP YOU. My advisor I had didn't know anything, would always pass me along to someone else, and they would just try and beat around the bush on things and could never get a direct answer. At the end of the course, you get your review for your loan, and they tack on ALOT more money that they DO NOT tell you about when you first inquire about the program. Rasmussen in my opinion is nothing but out for money, make them self-sound great, once you are in you are stuck and they don't care about you anymore. Then on top of it, after you graduate you have to take a final exam, which is then through a different website, the AHIMA website is absolutely horrible, they take for weeks to approve you to take a test, when you call, they give you the run around. When you call your advisor for help with that exam, she tells me there is nothing they can do on their end it's something we have to deal with AHIMA website. No one there ever wants to help you. Sadly, Rasmussen is a NO in my book...
