Great Wok — Restaurant in Minnesota

I used to love going here, it was actually the only place I would eat at when visiting the mall for the last 5+ years. Unfortunately, last visit completely destroyed my trust within their business and I will never be coming back again. I don't know if they have completely changed all of their recipes or if they just have purposely downgraded on their quality of food in exchange for more money (as in - they pay less overall, while the price the customer has to pay remains all the same), but I am pretty confident it is the latter. The rice was flavorless and more like sloppy mush, the lo mein noodles were bland and closer to butter noodles (one of my favorites, in the past they had a few minor incidents of adding a bit too much salt - which was at least still manageable - now it's like there isn't even any salt, let alone the other spices in the dish to begin with). Talk about flavorless. Their steak and broccoli was 80% broccoli and the taste did not make up for the lack of meat, otherwise this could have possibly been overkooked. Next the chicken was also mushy, like it was made out of gelatin. The flavor was okay, nothing notable, but it was still rendered inedible because of its consistency/texture. My next favorite used to be their cream cheese wontons and their red sauce - absolutely destroyed by the fact that there was barely a teaspoon, if even, of cream cheese inside of those empty, air-filled, wonton skin crisps. Even more disappointing, their red sauce seems to have been watered down or something of that nature. The sauce used to be viscous and like syrup, this time around, the sauce easily spilled out of the cup just as fast as water does and the taste seems to be just as watered down as well. $25 worth of food literally tossed in the trash after a couple bites of everything, neither my partner or I could stomach it, even though it was our first meal of the day and we currently live a couple hours away. They did a wonderful job ensuring a long-time, returning customer will never come back or recommend this place to another person. Customer service was not the best. The women at the counter were very avoidant & seemed annoyed to interact with anyone on the opposite side of the glass from them. Food was very bland. The sesame chicken was mushy & there was little to no flavor. Tasted like it had been sitting on all day. I was very unsatisfied with it & it threw my appetite off so I went back, apologized that I didn’t enjoy it & requested a refund.

Manager came up to the counter & asked me was there something wrong with the food. I told him I did not enjoy it at all. He offered a substitute & I told him no thank you, I’d just like to get a refund. He refused me my refund because there was “nothing wrong with the food.” Extremely disappointing that I couldn’t get my refund unless there was to be something wrong with the food. They literally stole $11+ from me.

Would not recommend any friends or family to this restaurant in the mall...

Ordered the Sesame chicken, noodles, and a different type of chicken I forgot the name of. All of the chicken was mushy or stringy(like uncooked meat fat..) And the flavour was awful. Noodles were ok. Not good enough to make up for the aweful chicken though. Service was very mediocre. Found a suspiciously SHORT hair in my food. Sickening... Im not even picky when it comes to food normally. This is one of my first and only reviews of a place. Not recommended. Even subway in the mall...
