Beware of DarknessBeware of Darkness
We decided to give this place a try based on reviews of their wood fired pizza and stromboli and that they had a folk rock duo playing live music on a Friday night. The atmosphere was really cool, kind of your local hole in the wall tavern vibe. The place, though small, was busy. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and grumpy, but she checked on us often enough. I ordered the G&G as a stromboli, and it was amazing! It was baked perfectly. The crust was fantastic, and there were ample toppings. We waited over an hour for food, which was no big deal with the live music. Just remember, it's a small place with a small kitchen. It takes a while, but good things come to those who wait. We'll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed the live music and the food here. I had the Greek pizza which came with 8 slices, and I have the garden salad which came with dressing already drizzled on top. I also tried the BlackBerry and pear cider which was super good as well. The bar tenders could have been a little more interactive though. The guy that tended to me seemed a bit more bright and had decent eye contact. The girl seemed very serious and seemed as though she was trying to avoid eye contact with me except when she brought my food over. Outside of that they seem to have a really regular crew of people they knew. I'd definitely go back and I hope to review again with a full 5 stars.

We came for the music but enjoyed the food so much! Honestly we didn't even know what to expect with the food🙃 My son is a lifelong… meaning hes been a fan since he was 3 and hes now 11, But life won't still fan of miss jubilee. So when we heard she was on jerky street we were there right away. But I tell you what this reminded us of when we used to see her rule Lafayette a decade ago and it was absolutely perfect. If you get the chance come when there's music if you don't still come for the pizza. And the service honestly could not have been better! Thank you to everybody there for making our nights so special.

Awful service all around. Never got our waitress/ one of two bartenders to come to our table to take our order. The place wasn't even busy, there were about 10 people in the entire seating area on a weeknight... Once I finally stood up to go order at the bar, the other (seemed newer?) bar tender reluctantly comes to me and asks if she can take my order. I know bar tenders have to learn somewhere, but this poor girl was uninterested, and didn't understand what my two drink orders were. I pointed them both out to her three times on the menu. She wrote them down and took 20 minutes to open a bottle of Cava and to mush basically frozen fruit into a tiny little glass and call that a cocktail. I saw her pouring the Cava and it's as if she didn't know that the bubbles would down as she then poured another small amount into the glass and man, that was not a $9 drink. I have never had a bar tender not know what they were doing. So, a terribly made cocktail, and didn't know that I would be paying over $20 for such service. We even wanted to order a pizza, since we were waiting for such a long time, but if the drinks had taken this long, and were overwhelmingly terrible, we simply drank whatever we were given, paid, and left. Girl, you...

We were just looking for someplace to stop and not drop a bucketload on dinner, so we were headed down this neighborhood for a walk and found Yaquis.

A family of 6, ranging from 9 to 40, we were a little concerned that it looked like a typical bar but carried on. The decor is actually really cool and we ended up getting the Yaqui Platter, a pizza (half greek, half chicken bbq), and two sangria for the parents.

The platter was shared by two and was presented very nicely, the two eating it had nothing but good to say about the prosciutto, cheeses, and small nuts and berries. Not my type of fare though.

The pizza (shared by four) was fantastic, they cook it in a visible wood fire stove and it was done with care. The crust was toasted magnificently and the white sauce was divine. The toppings were not obscene and overdone but just right for the taste. I would definitely go back if...

In the past, I have loved this neighborhood hot spot for its great pizza and awesome live entertainment- but recently I had an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I forgot my ID at home and was asked to go get it in order to get inside - OK no big deal, bars have laws for being admitted inside. I drove back home to get my card and came back ready for delicious pizza - instead I was greeted with " oh and I need to see your vax card" ( of course I made a face because I did not expect that, at least they could have mentioned it was a requirement when I DROVE HOME for my ID) it was what was said next that I found despicable... "sorry, I have to ask for proof of vax" ( no...no you don't, there is no law saying you must do this and inconvenience and/or outright discriminate against customers) you CHOOSE to invoke facistic policies- stop...
