I couldn't be happier with my time at the Clara. On short notice, I needed to find a furnished apartment for a 3 month stay. After searching all over St. Louis, I stumbled upon the Clara. They were able to accommodate my needs at a very reasonable price. The management staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the start; they went over and above to ensure my stay was comfortable and convenient.

The location could not be better. The Clara is situated 5 minutes from Washington University in one direction, and 5 minutes from SLU and the Central West End in the other. It is located right next to a metro station as well. Gated parking and restricted access to the building provide added security.

All of the residents I have met in my short stay have been very pleasant. I have had no issues with noise or anything else.

The unit I stayed in was recently updated with faux wood floors. Everything was very clean and in excellent working condition. The furniture which was supplied with the room was very modern and in pristine shape. High ceilings gave a nice feel to the room.

I stay there a for a while. It’s actually not located on Delmar but rather 2 miles for it. Several nights I would hear gun shots as it’s not located in the safest part of town. It takes a long time for them to fix things.I had to put in 20 service request before my refrigerator was finally fixed a year later. The elevator was constantly breaking down which was embarrassing when I invited guess over. Someone destroyed the entrance glass several times and it wasn’t fixed for about a month. They change management all the time so you never know who your dealing with in the lease office. Rent is increase ever year. My rent went up 40$ the first time. They will lie to you to try and get you to sign a new lease don’t believe anything not written. The rooms are very small for the prices they charge. My room even a huge pillar in the living room due to the building being so old. Fire alarm drills are performed at 3:00am in the morning during the winter on week days. If you don’t renew your lease within 60 days of it ending they will auto renew it for you. The close metro link is forest park. 3 people have died at forest park since I stayed here. This is a hard past and I strongly advise you to rent...

Management is horrible, there have been at least 6 different leasing agents within the past 2years, no communication just notifications on your door(in which anybody can come by and take it or look at it), maintenance team rude as yuck (they just coming knocking on your door and if you don’t answer they come in with no permission) & building maintenance, this place is supposed to be pet friendly but the only place they have for your pets is on the parking lot in some rocks, the roof and outdated AC unit’s leaks during the rain, windows outdated( you every sound on Delmar from sirens to random people yelling) floors, walls and doors are very thin (walking down the hall you hear neighbors conversations in their apartments, banging on the walls and floors; its like shared living but at a higher price)….if you are looking for convenience I recommend 2stars because it comes with a price, dont let the name fool you its right next door to the hood somebody just got shot on the corner & the light bill is as high as...
