Yasser's BarberShop — Local services in St. Louis

I have been going to this barber since the end of last year. And before this incident, I would have rated him beyond 5 stars. Typically professionally, courteous, and goes beyond what's necessary to make a good cut.

But, as of today, I have to say one star. To be fair to him, before this I have had to reschedule and was late ONCE in the entire time of going there. And I had called him beforehand, gave additional tip, and apologized because he had been good to me and I know business is business.

When I went there today, Yassar was working on a customer. I come in saying hello and all seemed well. But then he claimed I had an appointment for Thursday. And I have explictly told him over the phone not Thursday but Friday at 5:00pm.

He would also attest to that I normally come in much earlier than our appointed time. But he starts to berate me in front of his other customer. And talking about I would have to pay a fee. Claimed that the conversation was recorded and that he listened to it 10 times.

And I asked him if I could hear the recording. If I was wrong, I would have happily apologized. But he refused stating he had 100s of voicemails.

That said, that is no way to treat a good customer of nearly a year now.

Honestly, maybe it was just a day but he lost me as a customer. I hope and pray he doesn't disrespect a future customer especially in front of others. I had been nothing but respectful towards him and I would expect to be treated the same way.

I am no liar and I don't appreciate being treated as I was. I honestly pray rich success for you. But don't ever treat anyone else...

Yasser is a total professional! Unsure of what different hairstyles are called and what terminology to use, Yasser helped me identify the look and functionality I wanted from my hair and delivered in spades! As someone with intense social anxiety I genuinely loved that Yasser was okay with focusing on cutting my hair and not forcing me through small talk.
