VA St. Marys Community Based Outpatient Clinic — Local services in St. Marys

I normally have a positive experience with this clinic and get all of my issues resolved, if any. My current complaint concerns an appointment I had this morning with my provider, which was made several months ago, and I have repeatedly gotten text message notifications for the past few days. With all of the advance notifications of the appointment and the amount of time that it was known I was scheduled for it, I don't understand how no one could have known until this morning that my provider would not be available at the clinic all day, and had not notified me in advance of her absence and not have already rearranged to reschedule this appointment. I work a Mon-Friday job, and have to take an entire day off in order to attend these appointments, and I took today off and will be working a Saturday to replace today. I just found that out today, plus I missed out an an extraordinarily busy day, where I could have made extra money, and I missed out on it because someone dropped the ball and failed to check on Ms. Overton's appointments that were scheduled for today and notified me ASAP. It is a major inconvenience when I have to rearrange my personal schedule for an important appointment, and I find out right before it that the doctor is not in. And very inconsiderate and disruptive. I lost money because of this, please notify all of your patients of when their providers are not going to be at the clinic on days they are scheduled to see them. I have to give advance notice in order to have my employer rearrange my schedule, it is very inconsiderate to...

After waiting 40 minutes on the phone to reschedule an appointment that I was assigned...my turn came in line and the phone began to ring at 16:29. It rang until 16:30 and the phone call was disconnected. Anyone want to guess what time the clinic closes? You guessed it...16:30. I appreciate our staff and volunteers....but...

Women at front door taking temps and the one drawing blood were warm and welcoming. Check in was easy at kiosk. Lady's chatting behind desk near lab all but ignored me and appeared uninvolved with the check in process. Good first experience due to the warm and pleasant women who were genuine and seemed to want to be there...
