Let me tell you about John in customer service and how he ruined a 15 year old little girls experience getting her 1st ever paycheck cashed! I took my granddaughter to get her 1st paycheck cashed. She’s only 15 and doesn’t have an ID yet. She has a passport, a school ID, and her SS card. Before coming we called and was told yes that would work! So we happily went to the Kroger in St Mathew’s! John had an attitude immediately upon us walking up to the counter. He wasn’t very nice to the lady ahead of us but since I didn’t know what happened before walking up I didn’t think anything of it. Once we walked up for our transaction It went down hill. I stood back and let her handle the transaction because as newly employed these are things she has to learn to handle herself. John snatched the check out her hand then once he realized she hadn’t signed it he slammed the check on the counter and said it’s not signed. At that moment I stepped in and explained hey she’s a kid only 15 and this is the first time she’s ever done this. Hoping to take some venem out of his attitude! Because who doesn’t like helping children.🤷♀️ Apparently John doesn’t! He takes the check her passport and walks away. While he’s gingerly walking to find someone to show him how to do his job he stops and has a whole conversation with what I’m guessing was friends or family smiling, hugging all the feels! So I’m like MAYBE JOHN JUST NEEDED A HUG! I was wrong! Noooooo John came back with the same attitude he left with! He proceeds to tell us that she can’t use the passport cause they have to scan it and there is nothing to scan! Mind you there is no possible way your getting back into the USA without them “scanning” your passport! But that’s a whole other conversation and not why we are here! I told John that yes there is a place on your passport to scan and I show it to him. He stares at me blankly. I said John are you having a bad day cause you seem to be having a bad day! John with his neck rolling eye popping finger snapping gets VERY UPSET AT THIS POINT! And proceeds to tell us how wonderful his day is going! We left went to the other Kroger and was explained nicely how the system worked and why the couldn’t use the passport. Thank you Josh (I hope I remembered correctly) at Holiday Manor! He was very kind and happy to help her and even offered other suggestions. John however at Kroger St Matthew’s ruin a little girls first experience and it didn’t have to be that way. I could have done things the easy way have her sign the check over to me, deposit it in my bank and give her the cash. But, I wanted her to have the experienced that a lot of young people don’t have. John gave her the perfect example of why people don’t want to shop for themselves or bank in person! It’s people like John that make people choose other stores to shop at! Hopefully Kroger will speak with John and hopefully the next time someone says hey this is a child he will take that context clue and realize his tone needs to be corrected because the next parent or grandparent may not just walk away!!! DON’T BE LIKE JOHN! Also PLS takes passports to cash check...
Read moreTerrible! Terrible! Terrible location! Poor customer service! I came in yesterday to pick up prescriptions and Destyne was extremely rude. I first came to the counter, She asked my name I gave her my name and she said she was working on it and it’ll be ready in 5 mins. I went about shopping because I had other items to grab. I was called over the service speaker that my scripts were ready so I proceeded back to the pharmacy. Once I made it back she asked for my ID, I gave it to her my ID. She then asked for my insurance. I gave her that information. There was another lady standing to my left on the outside of the pharmacy that told me to hit the green button. I informed her about HIPPA and that she was too close to the screen with my information on it, she explained that she worked there in the pharmacy. I was a bit agitated because I didn’t know what was going on. I said okay. Returning my focus back to Destyne she asked for my social because the Butalbital were a controlled. I became a bit more irritable because someone was standing behind me and the other young lady was standing to my left that worked there in the pharmacy. I told Destyne I didn’t want to say it aloud and asked if I could get a piece of paper. She slammed my paper down on the counter. I wrote down my social and asked if she could give me back the paper so I could depose of it. She slammed the paper down giving it back to me. She rung me out. Not knowing the person behind me was my friend I turned around and I asked was it me or was she rude? We then walked off to head to line and purchase our groceries. While walking towards the lines Destyne or the lady standing to my left outside of pharmacy says, “she ain’t seen rude I’ll show her rude.” I then heard the women over the store intercom call for the store manager to pharmacy. So me and my friend walked back near the pharmacy to speak with the store manager and tell him about our experience. I told him what happened and that was that. We purchased our items and left. I did not feel valued as a customer. Destyne didn’t tell me what were the prescriptions that I was getting or where I could find the over the counter medication that wasn’t paid for by my insurance. She was of no service. Now that I recall they were rushing me and being rude because they were closing for lunch. It was 1:02PM. The pharmacy’s customer service is 0%. I didn’t feel valued as a patient. Terrible Terrible location! I will not be spending my money here. I will not...
Read moreI recently placed an online order to pick up my groceries.
The order was delayed by 2 hours and we were given the option of coming later or come on the next day.
We opted to come on the next day, but when we did, our order was incorrect and majority of the items were missing.
We contacted the store and spoke with Theo, a manager. Theo assured us that this would be properly taken care of, however, it was not.
We were extremely disappointed and frustrated that we spent gas, time, and money on multiple trips to the store for this seemingly simple curbside pickup order that continued to be incorrect, despite the management’s awareness of the issues.
Eventually we were put in contact with Marcus, another manager.
Marcus made everything right and he saved the day. He was very kind, compassionate, and greatly desired to establish a great rapport with us as new customers.
He went above and beyond to ensure that we walked away happy.
He corrected the mishaps, gave us proper credits, and best of all, he gifted us with a beautiful plant from Kroger’s flower shop as a housewarming gift since we are new to the area.
This was a thoughtful way to apologize for our inconvenience and to make things right.
We appreciate Marcus and we thank him for...
