We decided after finally getting all four of our daughters grown that it was time for a hot tub!! We spent hours researching hot tubs and reading reviews and trying to figure out the best one to fit our likes and style. Once we had a decent idea of what we wanted, we went to Watson's to talk to a salesman about it. However, not one person asked us the entire 20 minutes we were looking at the floor models if we needed assistance. So we left. At the time, we were still a couple months away from finishing the area on our deck where the hot tub was going so we didn't pursue further looking right then. Fast forward about 4 weeks and we were out and decided to again try Watson's for our hot tub hunting. Well, we did get a salesman this time but he did not seem interested in our needs and he was not able to answer our questions regarding different models and features. Maybe he did not think we were actually looking to buy. So, we left and drove straight to Steepleton's. We walked in and met Paul Soule. He was fantastic from the moment we set foot inside until he completed the sale of our brand new $6,572 hot tub! Paul was personable, knowledgeable about the products, and explained in easy to understand detail everything we needed to know in regard to wiring, upkeep, weight, and even the basics like "push this button for this". He is a gem to this company. We literally spent less than an hour start to finish on this purchase with him because he made it so simple, painless, and efficient. So, the hot tub came about 3 weeks later via delivery by 4 men who actually work for the company itself and they represented this company WELL. June 29th weather was sunny, HOT AND HUMID and at 3:30 pm, almost unbearable in the direct sun. These men did not complain once. It was not an easy task to get the hot tub to the area we wanted it either. They put everything together, hooked up the electrical, went through the care of the hot tub (very thoroughly) and answered all my nagging questions without getting frustrated. GOOD JOB STEEPLETON!! This morning I sat out in my hot tub and had my coffee. I highly recommend this company for your...
Read moreThe company did a $1,200+ repair on my hot tub without providing a quote in advance. I emailed the company at least three times prior to the repair asking about the timeline and cost and was only told they wouldn’t know until the parts came in (because apparently knowing how much they pay to order the part isn’t enough to provide any information to the customer). When the tech was leaving, after replacing a circuit board that we paid to replace less than a year earlier, he told me to wait a few days to turn the hot tub back on and said he hoped that they didn’t damage anything when they tried to start it while all the water in the unit was frozen. A few days later, the replacement parts start malfunctioning. They send someone out a week later, and now suddenly there is a leak from one of the pumps due to a crack in the housing. So, they don’t provide quotes before performing expensive repairs, don’t take sufficient care to avoid further damage when making the repair, and then tell you additional work is needed for the damage they caused (when they first inspected the unit to determine that it needed a $1,200+ repair there was no leak/cracked housing on the pump identified even though the water wasn’t frozen at that time).
Interesting how starting with the least expensive part involved ordering the $700 part that was replaced a year earlier. I also notice that Steepleton didn't bother trying to explain why a quote wasn't provided prior to the work being performed or about their staff damaging the unit. My expectations are fairly easy to meet. Provide the appropriate information on request so the customer can determine whether they want to pay for a specific repair and don't break their unit further in the process of...
Read moreI wouldn't even give them one star, but I didn't have a choice! I needed my pool table moved and thought Steepletons was a safe choice, but was I wrong! They only move tables on certain days so I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. I explained what kind of table I have, the measurements, the type, the year and that it was 1 solid piece of slate. They assured me it was no problem! I had to pay 500.00 up front to book my appointment. The movers get to the location and its 2 young kids in an old beat up pick up truck, with no cover and no signage! The only identification they had was a T-shirt that said Steepletons! They take one look at the table and say, we can't move that cause it's one piece of slate! I told them, I know this and so did your company! I have to drive 30 minutes to their store and when I get there, they couldn't figure out how to refund my money to my debit card and had to wait for them to figure it out with assistance from someone on the phone. To top it off they have the nerve to tell me, they know I was inconvenienced, but they were too, cause they could've booked another appointment in my place! Really? Maybe you need to train your staff about what your movers can handle and what they can't! Maybe think about a truck that can protect your table from weather etc too! #whatajoke...
