Inferior workmanship. Horrible Customer Service. Lindsay, Words cannot express the disappointment and frustration that my wife and I have experienced with the recent delivery of your furniture. After waiting approximately six weeks for delivery, we were so excited with anticipation for the arrival of our new furniture. When the furniture arrived however we were shocked to discover the shoddy workmanship of the slipcovers. Attached please find just a few of the photos taken to give you an idea of what we experienced. There are loose threads through out the entire sectional. This may seem minor to some, however if some child or an unsuspecting adult should pull the loose thread the result could be catastrophic. After a few washings, I'm sure that there is a possibility of the the entire slipcover fraying and falling apart. You would think that after paying 6K for a living room set they would at least iron out the wrinkles of the skirts. We were promised delivery of a cocktail table that we were told was " in stock" however when the delivery arrived the table was missing. Subsequently we were told that the table will arrive at the warehouse on Wednesday July 5th and delivered to us on Thursday July 6th. We'll see.
Sincerely disappointed, Frank Santiago Surfside Casual initial response via phone: "Take the slipcovers off yourself and Iron them"
good morning, i have reached out to our four seasons Rep; unfortunately the strings are excess from the manufacturing process. they just need to be cut; it will not cause any harm to your slipcover. i apologize the factory should have cut them before they left for shipment. if you do not feel comfortable snipping the strings yourself i can arrange for someone to go out there ( it might take a few weeks or longer due to our busy season ) the wrinkles are accustomed to slipcovers when they are made and shipped - every slipcover gets wrinkled upon delivery; i am sorry no one informed you of this. i know Lisa will be following the status of your table very closely; any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach...
Read moreIn short, stay away from this store. They have no customer service and do not back what they sell.
We ordered a power reclining leather sofa and loveseat in Aug 2021 from the Manahawkin store. They told us that due to the pandemic, delivery would not be until March/April 2022 which we understood. To our surprise and delight, it came in much earlier and they delivered the set on Nov 30, 2021.
We realized the couch recliners did not work properly with a person sitting on it (the delivery team tested it with no one on the couch). Had I realized it before they left, I would have refused the couch. I called and left messages with my salesperson and the store the NEXT DAY.
I could have ordered the set from any dealer closer to me in north Jersey, but since the salesperson spent so much time with us and promised they had great customer service if we had any issues, I wanted her to get the sale. However, there is ZERO customer service. None.
After 5 ½ months of numerous calls and even an in-person visit to the store with no resolution or useful follow-up, I emailed the Surfside Casual VP, Ken Mazda, and President/Owner, Robert Himmelstein, and detailed the saga of trying to get this addressed. After 3 weeks of no response from either of them, I sent another email which did get a response, but no follow-up to that (although they claimed they would get back to me within the week). Clearly, they set the tone for customer service at the very top – once you get the customer’s money, ignore them!
In all the times we spoke with someone at Surfside Casual—over the phone or in person—we never even got so much as, “We’re so sorry. What can we do to make this better?” What a terrible way to...
Read moreOrdered outdoor furniture with Carly. Was told it would arrive the first week in June (about 2 months after the order date) and be delivered to my home within a week. That left more than 2 weeks to two graduation parties I was having at my home.
The end of the first week of June I called. They didn't have it and I received two different answers about when it would be in. Dan told me it was in a truck and should arrive within a few days and I would get a call about delivery.
I called again the middle of the following week and was told it had arrived, no one knew when, and no one bothered to call me to arrange delivery!!! Again Dan informed my they could have it delivered by July 7th. I told him that wasn't good because of the parties I was hosting only days away! He said he would see what he could do. He called back later and said the 2nd of July in time for July 4th. I said unacceptable. I had two graduation parties days away. I suggested he call my salesperson, Carly, to confirm.
He called back again with a delivery date of June 21st, the day before the first graduation party. Fantastic. Cutting it close, but ok. June 1st they arrive and begin assembling the $4800 in furniture. Except the table which was missing parts!!!! Needless to say graduation parties were ruined and I lost money on catering and had to take everyone out to dinner twice, once for each graduation!!!
Do not believe them when they tell you "plenty of time" and it'll "definitely be in by then.". FYI I had to contact them 3 days later about the missing parts because no one bothered to contact me, again!
My suggestion, find the furniture you like and order directly from the...
