I will never shop at Home Depot in Stafford again. Don’t even waste your time going. Every time I go to this location for an appliance I get little to no help. My husband and I went in for a new dishwasher asked for help and waited for well over 30 minutes. People who came in after us were helped before we were (they were looking at more expensive items). We ended up ordering a dishwasher and were given a delivery date. The day before delivery I get a call from the people who deliver stating that, “they didn’t have the dishwasher and had no idea when it would come.” I wanted to know an estimated time and they told me to call Home Depot. I called the store and spoke with a lady in customer service. I explained the situation, that they couldn’t tell me when it would actually come. Now I have a family of 6. We go through dishes fast and I’ve been hand washing non stop for a week waiting for my new dishwasher. I told the customer service associate I knew it wasn’t her fault but I wanted to know an estimated time of service and why they could no longer honor my original date. She told me, “I don’t know what you want me to do about it.” At that point I was upset and asked for a manager. Of course she said, “I am the manager.” Yikes! At that point I told her I just wanted to return it. She didn’t even try to save the sale, she didn’t try to offer a different item she knew could come on time, she didn’t offer for us to come pick something up, she flat out didn’t care. She happily refunded me for the dishwasher. I worked retail and every sale counts regardless of how much a person spends. I’m happy to say we found a dishwasher at a competitor. Home Depot’s customer service is a joke. I was truly disappointed at how things were handled. We...
Read moreI wanted to start this by saying that I had not been a Home Depot in over 5 years because of their (Stafford Home Depot's) customer service. I was in the market for a Traeger pellet smoker, Home Depot is one of the only retailers in the area authorized to sell them, so on my way home from work yesterday I called the Stafford store to ask if the particular Trager model was in stock. I was on hold for well over an hour and I did not hang up until I had arrived (from Herndon va) in the parking lot of the Stafford store. I expected to see a packed store since there was no one available to answer the phone for over an hour but that was not the case. it looked like there were more employees than there were customers so this irritated me. I then went into the grill section to look at the display for the Traeger 575 model and I found out there was no display, even though the signage indicated that Traegers were sold in this store. I then walked up and down the aisles looking for the smoker and pellets and accessories but found no indication that Trager products were sold in this store. I waited for about 25 mins for an employee to help me but no one did, I asked for assistance and the employee told me that they didn't work in this area and would have walked on by but I stopped them and asked them to help me find someone who did work in the area. after 30 more minutes of waiting for someone to come to help me I found that they had none of the Trager products in stock and the employees attitude reminded me of why I stopped coming to home depot. I decided to visit the Herndon Home depot where (after calling found that they had the products and accessories instock). the Review of that customer service fiasco can be found on their review page...
Read moreFirst off I’m a huge Home Depot fan! I shop there all the time. And the 1 star isn’t for this particular home depot in Stafford either unless management had something to do with this small ridiculous story. So the dmv area got blasted with snow no big deal it’s happened before, only this time companies like Home Depot and Lowe’s weren't ready for supply and demand! You want hundred of the same stores in the area but can’t supply bags of salt ok fine bags of salt sold out first come first serve whatever I’ll catch you on the next one. So I gave up looking in my area called Stafford they said yea we have salt! Awesome great thank you! Went there they’re selling and over pricing salt @ $1 a pound! What kind of shit is that! I brought up the salt bag disgusted and asked the simple question why am I paying $25 for a $6-$10 bag of ice melt, cashier was very nice and said we had to raise the price so we didn’t sell out. Now there’s all kinds of salt bags there. Kind of reminded me of a couple things first using the toll roads lets sky rocket 🚀 price and then there’s a law for the dmv area that you have to clean your sidewalks! I’m sitting here like bro we literally pay you to drive on these roads now because the va dmv throws a road tax on your registration now, we pay personal property tax on the damn vehicles. The damn salt should be free at this point. Sorry I snapped I’m tired of the people being used! My point is simple for Home Depot and all the surrounding stores like Lowe’s and ace hardware. Don’t kick the people when they’re down by raising sky rocket prices. inclement weather brings huge corporations money automatically. One day the people will come together and huge...
