Love this place. Never a disappointment. They can get busy, so be patient, but it's worth it. We've been fans for over ten years and you just can't find a better group of people that really take care of their customers. I've come in with a sore throat and they've made lemon honey tea because they could hear it in my voice. Who does that? They do! Jasper, Sony, Paul, Flor, Kenny, Roberto, and on and on...great crew. Again, they get busy, be patient.

I cannot believe I haven't left a Google review for Umi's. We've been going for over ten years and honestly this place should have a section named after us for all the sushi we've consumed :-)

There's no way to capture the experience but to go. It's hands down the best sushi in this area and frankly probably the top three sushi place in our entire life. I'm comparing to top tier places in Japan and San Francisco that have wait lists.

We've introduced friends that were not "sushi" eaters and our now regulars.

This is our go to place and after moving further away it's a bit more time to get there, we still try to make it a regular thing.

Top notch. The staff is absolutely incredible. Hands down one of, if not the, top restaurant in the area.

The wife and I go here 1-4x a month. And sometimes when I'm in Freddy I'll go to the Umi there for lunch.

Consistent, service is almost always perfect and friendly (ask for Kylie if she's on, super nice).

The lunch and dinner bento boxes are my #1 recommendation. We always take home boxes after ordering them.

Out of all the sushi places around us (Kobe, Umi, Sake), we decided this is the fairest price for its food. Sake is the worst tasting, but usually the cheapest, and Kobe is the most expensive with the sushi being hit or miss (but the hibachi is always great there).

Umi is a solid choice and recommended if you can't decide on which sushi...

I want to give every hard-working, independent business with great service 5 stars, but have to be honest. Umi used to be our go to spot for lunch. The prices were reasonable, and the food was great. It was worth a drive. We visited a few days ago during spring break, and I was disappointed. I understand the issues restaurants are facing with inflation and food costs. I understand that to keep up, places have had to raise prices. However, the prices were significantly raised, like 50-100%. Then the food quality just wasn't there. The soup was cold, the salad dressing was sooo sweet, there was absolutely no seasoning on the tempura and it was greasy, the chicken in the Bento box was inedible, the tea was abysmal, and there was not a lot included compared to other places. The Veggie and Philly rolls were really good and fresh. What used to be a little under $30, was well over $50 on the lunch menu. With tip I paid over $65 for 2 lunch Bento boxes 1 was veggie, and 2 lunch rolls, again one being veggie. I literally could go to the Brazilian Steakhouse and pay less.
