The Stafford Best Buy location/store is a place to avoid. I have shopped at Best Buy and have spent quite a bit of money over 15 years as a repeat customer for large and small products. It was my go to store. I even held their top tier rewards program level for a while. Then I moved to Stafford Virginia. After about a year of dealing with rude in store staff (to include managers) and customer service employees, I had enough. I'm generally and patient and highly tolerant person but when employees and managers go out of their way to ensure you have a terrible experience, it's very disappointing. They are rude and lack any level of professionalism. They are quick to deflect blame to the third party vendors or to the customer when there is an issue. They do not follow the price match guarantee Best Buy has in place and the manager is quick to say they don't have to if they don't want to at that location. After avoiding the store for about a year I went back to see if things have changed by making what I thought would be a simple purchase. I purchased a gift card for a birthday gift and found out that it was not activated properly. I went back to the store and ran into all sorts of trouble just trying to resolve a gift card issue. Really!? They couldn't figure out what happened, and then the manager came over. He accused me (to my face) of picking up a gift card and trying to get it activated (he called it stealing a gift card) without purchasing, even though I had provided the paid receipt to the employee that matched the card in hand. I asked him if he even knew how to read a receipt (admittedly in a very sarcastic tone) because it was for that specific card and showed him how it matched the card. He finally looked at it and then walked away without saying anything further to me. I was in shock and disbelief. I'm writing this review to warn that this store location is worse than ever. Once again I have not been let down by this Best Buy auto techs. I was traveling down to the coast, and after my terrible experience with the technicians in Alexandria, I honestly gave up on trying to get this Viper brain removed, but I decided to give it a shot at this Best Buy. I did not know if Courtlan was there or if the other tech there would be able to assist, especially for a drop-in. Upon arrive, Courtland greeted me and was more than willing to help. In less than 5 minutes I was in and out. I shared the experience that I had at the Alexandria Best Buy and how the "Master" technician felt inadequate to support my request in a time frame of an hour, but Courtland nailed it in 5 minutes!

Read moreIf only I could give NO STARS. My most recent order has been the bane of my existence. The store taking over 2 hours to get the purchase done in-store should've been a warning sign.
We were supposed to have three appliances delivered today and installed at a CONFIRMED time window of 9am-1pm. I had to wait over an hour after 1pm with no answer as to why delivery wasn't there yet when we made accommodations for the delivery as recommended on the paperwork they had me sign. I had to try calling multiple times with no answer. Then we get a call AFTER 3pm and was given a number that didn't work for the Stafford location (you may want to check that). Checked Google and that same number didn't work. Had to call a different number And as luck would have it wait again, no surprise there - they seem to like to put customers on hold when the item has already been sold and confirmed in-stock. Apparently there was an issue with thethird party and install. I don't understand how that ended up being our problem and how we needed to wait 2 more weeks for installation for the stores mistake. No other reason was given. No other accomodations for an issue that should've never been the consumer even when they said they will do everything to accommodate and fix the issue for us. I'm pretty sure that this wasn't the first appliance install for Best Buy and this location so the lack of courtesy and customer service is severely appalling. When requested to speak to a manager that was also denied. We're waiting on the refund on our purchase. Let's see if they can fulfill that promise.
