I came in to eat dinner around 9pm due to working on some homework. I usually don't eat late but today was an exception. I checked online on their website and saw that they closed at 11pm, so I decided to come. When I got here, I noticed that my go to spot to get food had already been put up. I thought this was a bit odd and perhaps they were made to clean up early, not sure. I proceeded to check another spot and another with the same result. The only places open was the burger and sandwich options.. Yea. Pretty disappointing options when they still have 2 HOURS left till they close. Regardless, I ate what I could and saw others coming in a bit later. I watched and saw as their faces scrunched up at their plethora of options that Dining Commons had at 9pm. Yea. Disappointment. All over their face. Lucky for me I have a meal plan, but for those that don't, well they just wasted about 9 to 13 dollars on burgers and sandwiches ($9-13 idk haven't paid for a meal in a while). They could've easily gone to McDonald's and gotten 12 McChickens for that price and better quality burger (IMHO)((*stands for in my honest opinion. In all caps.)) I decided to stay a little longer and watched as more students came pouring into their University's dining hall to enjoy that savory medium rare steak, grilled to perfection chicken, and the sweet to the tooth peach cobbler. Yea. Disappointment. All over their faces. I guess I'm just used to a professional food location to be true to their word, schedule, and maintain operating hours until the last minute. I would understand if they started closing everything 30 minutes early but 2 hours is a bit too much. For the price and meal plans that all the students have to pay to eat here and yet not being able to fully take advantage of the money they are spending is pretty trash. After seeing so many sad faces and hopes/appetites being crushed, I decided to leave the premises of this illusion of a dining hall. After placing my dishes in their respective place neatly, I walked by, like thousands of student on a daily basis do, Today's Brew's and immediately my stomach called for a caramel milkshake. The lights were still on. The workers were still there. Their faces still staring out into the open contemplating how slow time was creeping until they could get off. My hopes were up! I walked up and asked for a caramel milkshake, bright, joyful smile on my face. To my great dismay, the worker told me they were closed. I asked what time they closed for future reference, as well as for anyone reading the reviews, and was told in a very confused voice, "I don't know 9 or 9:30pm". Hm. Ok thanks. I went home. A heavy weight of sorrow upon my brow. Tears superfluously flowing down my cheek. Disappointment. Once more heavy in my heart, making itself a nice cozy little spot to curled up and lay in. Thanks...
Read moreReminds me of "International Buffet" themed eateries. Sushi to hot dogs and hamburgers, even steaks! Only reason that I didn't rate 5 stars was that I didn't see any nutritional guides at all. Recommend that they post nutritional as well as dietary guides. Something simple like... Green(healthy), Yellow(Saturated fats and high sugar/salt contents, and Red(this better be your Last Meal because you're about to go into a Coma). Other than that, food and...
