I'd originally provided a 5* review when we took receipt of our oven and am grateful to our salesperson, David, for providing a great front-end experience. However, the follow through and experience with Dave's went downhill significantly after this. We had two outstanding items ordered along with the oven, and the customer service provided for the 6+ weeks it took me to get my products was really concerning. I will not be returning to Dave's based on these interactions.
Every time a team member would promise a call or even a delivery, the promise would go unmet -- this happened several times. I always had to be the one to follow up. After more than a month of waiting for the delivery of items that I had purchased, which they had confirmed were in their possession, I asked to speak with someone who could assist me in finalizing a delivery date. I was put on the phone with the owner and was met with a very unsympathetic response. There was no accountability or empathy, and it was pretty evident that he did not want to be speaking to a customer or attempting to provide a solution. It was a jarring conversation where he kept asking me if I wanted to be put in touch with a certain team member, as though I was somehow supposed to know who on the team did what, or how to fix a problem that, as the customer, should not have been mine to fix.
Once installed, the oven had a malfunctioning thermometer -- I did not make the team at Dave's aware because I'd already been made to feel like a burden. I had a service company come to repair it who informed me that the oven was automatically heating to over 550, regardless of the degree it was placed on. I do not expect Dave's to take responsibility for something I did not inform them of, but I am concerned that it was either damaged or mishandled in delivery, as the oven has been like this since installation, and I point this out to say: the customer service after delivery was so negative, I could not imagine them caring about this issue based on the interactions I'd already had.
Dave's delivers exceptional service during the sales process to obtain your business, but once you become a customer, there is a general lack of concern or care. I post this not to bash, but in hopes that they can tighten up the process so that their customers feel heard, valued, and taken care of in a way that matches the initial interactions you'll have. Beware of Daveās Appliances at Statham, Ga. My purchase with them has been the biggest nightmare I have ever experienced with anyone. I remodeled my kitchen and I purchased all new appliances and bought all new cabinets from them. My salesman (Will Flowers) was helpful and convincing to start out. Very pushy about getting all the money upfront, said they would give me a better discount if we paid up front. BIG MISTAKE, after they got their money they were in no hurry to get my cabinets and appliances out to me. It all went downhill from there. Will, he doesnāt know anything about ordering cabinets. They brought out the wrong size, I had shelves missing, not enough cabinet filler to put the cabinets together. And my list could go on. Itās been four months, and we are still missing pieces to complete the cabinets. My double oven had dents on both doors and would not fit in the open cabinet. My husband had to cut out the hole himself for the oven and he had to put the microwave drawer in his self and trim it out, because they would not come back out and do it. I paid for all of this to be done by them. My gas range top has a dent on it. I paid for new appliances and I get dented appliances. My cabinets are still not finished. I have called Daveās Appliances several times trying to get all this resolved and no one will call me back. We have talked to Dave himself, the owner, he wonāt even help. Dave even cursed at my husband on the phone once when talking to him about all that was going on. Will the salesman, will not call me back or answer his cellphone when I call. Now when I call Daveās Appliances they see my name on caller id and they will not answer their main business phone when I call. Will has hung up on my husband and myself. He has lied several times and I have caught him in those lies. I have never experienced this or been treated this way ever. I am warning you all to not buy anything from these people. They will take your money and treat you horribly. I do not want anyone to have to go through what my husband and I have had to go through with them. My husband is a disabled veteran and not really able to do as he once did. The cabin would not be ready until June of 2021 but Robert agreed to keep everything there until we was ready. I looked at the dishwasher and microwave and stove upon purchase but was told the fridge was was in the back surrounded by other appliances and it would be tough to move them all so that I could inspect it as the dishwasher and stove and the microwave had dents,scratches and missing items. I returned 2 other times to inspect it and was told it was not assessable to inspect. Delivery day came and the builder called me immediately and said āyou need to look at this fridge, it has several large dents in the door and the back has a dent near the condenser area. I called Robert and was told if anything was wrong they would take care of it. The microwave had the installation bracket missing along with the dishwasher, I called Robert and was told ājust go to Home Depot and get what you need and Iāll credit back you the amountā. Well the brackets needed are brand specific so I had to order and wait for them to arrive. The dents in the fridge was ugly and not acceptable but Robert refused to replace it. I was told he would find a ādonor doorā and come out and replace it free of charge. In the meantime Iāve had the fridge repaired 2 times under warranty and the dishwasher once. After calling and txting Robert with most being unanswered and ignored I received a txt from Robert saying the door was in and I needed to come pick it up 10 months after we received the fridge. My response to him was you said you would come out and replace it, I also asked how much would it cost me to get another fridge due to the constant issues it was giving us. I was more than willing to pay but as usual he never answered my question. Once you purchase from him you are on your own basically. They have great pricing and at times selection but after the sale service is horrible, I would not recommend purchasing any product...
