I would have to say my experience so far with schewels has been great as I am a new customer with them. I have a good paying job but am limited to just starting to build my credit. I don't have any derogatory remarks from my bank or credit card companies but i do owe a few hospital bills. But nonetheless the credit folks at schewels was willing to give me a chance. They actually gave me a credit line above what i needed. Which made me feel kind of awesome. Although common sense wont let me go charge a whole bunch of things i don't need and cant pay for easily. It made me feel good they were willing to work with me on what i needed. The sales team wasn't pushy and were very friendly. They explained everything i needed to know about the product i was interested in. The buying part of my experience was just as satisfying as the beginning. When i went to finance my furniture i was kind of nervous that they may want a high down payment being a new customer with limited credit. I offered a little over 10% down which was accepted no questions asked or haggling to squeeze all they could from me, which on a one income family is a great feeling. With the pandemic going on, one cant help but notice the steps that were in place to be clean and sanitized at the store in staunton that i went to. Which is always an A+ in my book. I've been a customer with Schewel's for 25+ years, and I've always been very satisfied with their service. The staff is always friendly and helpful with my purchases, and the sales staff are very professional in assisting me with choices and needs. They are always knowledgeable of their products, and explain the features of products available. They not only explain features, but bring to my attention of savings, discounts, sales, and how their product features can save money. I never feel pressured in making decisions, or in purchasing. Their credit department always provide a variety of financing options that is suitable for my budget. The staff is like family. I have never had an unpleasant experience with purchases, financing, and I've never purchased any item that I was not totally satisfied with. I highly recommend Schewel's to everyone. I purchased 2 Nectar Premium Copper twin XL mattresses in September 2022. Initially, they sent 2 different types of Nectar mattresses. The manager ordered another and it is a copper premium, but they are 2 different heights. I was told to give it some time and if the new one didn't come up to the height of the other to let them know. I went in to the Staunton,va store on 11/23/22 to speak to the manager. She came out of the office without allowing me to explain and said because I didn't purchase their VERY EXPENSIVE mattress protectors, there was nothing she could do for me. I spent $2600 on mattresses for the cooling factor and the FOREVER warranty why would I put a plastic lined cover on it when it defeats the purpose.
