firstly the atmosphere and vibe of this whole place was really good !! (*'▽'*) — there wasn’t any like superrrr light lights that were in your face, it was like a dimmed lighting !! the restaurant as a whole felt very homey like one of those places where its family owned and you know it’s just a comfortable place to be !! — (*´∇`*) next,, even tho i don’t eat thai food at all, the food here was very very good !! although there was some little things i didn’t like (but still VERY good) you might like it eitherway !! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) thankfully they had a kids menu because that’s what i stuck to since the aforementioned,, i dont eat thai food 💔💔 (⁎⁍̴̆Ɛ⁍̴̆⁎) our waiter, this one kind, young girl was very nice to me and my family !! ٩(^‿^)۶ she didn’t seem at all rushy and i wish we got to ask for her name but we sadly forgot … i could’ve put it in this review !! aaaaaa ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ i wish i could come back and try all of their variety of different dishes but i can only stay here for two weeks sadly…. but i would most definitely try again maybe in the new year once i come back !! o(`ω´ )o i really wish this resturant got more recognition (unless it already does and we just came at a less busy time) STILL !!! very nice people here and the food isnt really on the high end of prices !! ☆〜(ゝ。∂) thanks for serving us !! We are at this restaurant for dinner while visiting Virginia for seeing the fall colors. The restaurant is located in downtown. There is sufficient parking facility for 10 cars at the very least. There are ample number of vegetarian as well as vegan options for the offering. We ordered the stir fried ginger with shiitake mushrooms and veggies, along with vegetarian mussaman curry. The mussaman curry was decent and had a mildly sweet flavor. The stir fried ginger was a bit on the sweeter side for me with an overpowering flavor of dried ginger powder rather than of fresh ginger. We also ordered a couple of drinks. I only got my third choice of drinks since they had ran out of some of the alcohol which was needed for my first two choices. I finally settled on a drink named the Bangkok sunset, where the taste was primarily of the orange juice rather than a balance of the alcohol tasty and the fruit juice ( which is expected of a good cocktail). The second drink was named blue kamikaze. It was a decent drink as well. The waiting staff were polite and helpful. The waiting time for the food was very less as well. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

My husband and I used to come here a lot when he was still in college and we've waited 4 years to come back and enjoy Thai Staunton's food. We were not disappointed. This is the best Thai food we've ever had hands down. Highly recommend to everyone we know and our all time go to in Staunton and the surrounding area. We were very happy to see that the menu was updated and they now sell shirts! Really thrilled this business is thriving during these difficult times! The restaurant is very spacious and the staff is always very welcoming, friendly and just great. Your water will never be empty that's how great their servers are. We had the drunken noodles and pad Thai with duck and it was amazing. The food is served really fast as their ingredients are prepped and ready to go (we love Asian cuisine cooking so we get it - once the wok is hot it's moving fast). Highly highly recommend and I would give 10 stars if I could!

I had lunch with my father here on a Monday a little after 1.

Service was good, although like some other Thai places they dont keep up with their spice trays well. The one provided to me barely had any Thai red peppers in fish sauce or the green peppers in vinegar. I had to really fish around to get enough. I'm sure a lot of people dont even have a clue what I'm talking about.

I had the lemongrass soup with shrimp and the Larb Gai for my lunch. The shrimp in the soup were large and there were 4, so not too shabby. The soup was good, I've had worse Tom Yum. The Larb Gai was good but needed some of those peppers from the spice tray.

Dad had the drunken noodles with shrimp and liked it well enough that he ate it all, which is a bit unusual for him.

We took three dishes home for dinner on another night. I brought home the Pad Pik Khing and it was OK/good upon reheating. Nothing to rave about or hate. Brought home the Panang curry for the wife. She said it was not bad but was completely missing the the basil and lime leaf that was supposed to be on it. I realize it would not have been fresh when reheating but they still should have been there for the flavor. It was not as good as the last Panang Curry she had elsewhere.

I never got a report on the Pad Broccoli dad brought home for mom (we dont live together). My guess is it wasn't bad.

All in all everything was good, not the 5 star outstanding many people are reviewing but nothing bad that would warrant less...
