Food Lion — Local services in Staunton

The store could use a deep cleaning especially in the check out aisles. The sides of some of the checkout conveyors are filthy and so is the floor. A lot of the fresh produce is also very low quality. Strawberries and blueberries often have mold on them and the strawberries always look like they’re on the brink of needing tossed. Apples that are wrinkled or brown spots on them. Onions are bruised, sometimes moldy inside, and I recently bought one that actually had bugs in it (I mean I know it comes from the ground but come on I’ve been buying onions for YEARS). I bought cocktail tomatoes that didn’t even last a day before they went soft. Anyway… the cashiers are friendly and do their job well. That’s pretty much the only positive thing I have to say...

This used to be my favorite grocery store. Over the past 2 months they are almost always sold out of many items I regularly purchase for my family. All the other grocery stores have the items stocked. They need to change suppliers if they can't proper stock the store. Also there are 2 very rude employees. One is the guy who works at the deli in the mornings. Always grumpy if I ask for anything and he makes an ugly face anytime a customer approaches the deli. The other rude employee is the long haired young man who works as a cashier up front. He is very rude and has an attitude. I will no longer be shopping at this Food Lion and will be taking my business to the North Coaster...

Feli customer service is awful went back to counter after placing orders of 2 items after shopping for 20 min. Store was super slow so no way it wasn't ready. All 4 FOUR saw me. All 4 made eye contact including the person who took my order and the deli manager who deferred my order to associate and I stood there about 7 min until manager played dumb and finally got my h and cheese.
