Fast checkout, organized well. Recently, they've been out of certain produce items like non organic romaine and iceberg lettuce. This past visit, they had poor quality selection on lettuce when it was back in stock. There were no notes acknowledging the product was out. I typically shop at this Kroger due to its location and there's not a lot of traffic during rush hour due to its location, but recently the quality has gone way down ... The produce is starting to fall to the low Meijer levels
I've experienced some bad workers over the years but these past two weeks have been the worst. A bagger put other food items in with a raw chicken package, put hard items on top of the eggs, etc etc. I take my groceries out by department ...dry goods, frozen, dairy, etc... when I place them on the conveyor belt to make bagging easier and it's frustrating to see fragile or raw items mishandled. Further, on the self check out lines....specifically 4/30/17 @4pm worker, I felt very disrespected when an item rang up at the non-card price. I rarely notice these things but it was my first item at self checkout. Whenever I walk up to checkout, counter or self checkout, I input my Kroger card phone number. Period. Every time. I'd done that and when I spoke to her about the wrong price being displayed, she told me that I had rung the item up before I inputted my card. She was rather know it all but I explained to her that wasn't the case and asked if she can adjust it. She shot back a "no you didn't. See, look it's right here" as she pointed to the top line. Again, I said I had inputted it but I guess it didn't register yet (even though the checkout thanked me for being a loyal customer) & once again, she told me that I hadn't inputted it and that I need to do that to get the sale prices. It would seem to be an insignificant event overall, but it was just her tone. I can't explain it but truly, I'd never encountered someone with such attitude over a customer asking a legitimate question. Considering that at the checkout counter, the employees begin to scan sometimes before my number is inputted and I always get the sale prices on the entire order, it seems odd to me that somehow it was now implied that it was my fault .... For pointing out an error on the scanner?
Regardless, I'll be taking my business elsewhere, even if just to another Kroger. This one has gone downhill quickly in the last couple months compared to the 7 years I'd shopped...
Read moreThe absolute worst experience I have EVER had in a Kroger store. Shelves were empty, no sanitizer to wipe down the shopping carts, no available workers visitable for item look up and products just thrown on the flood. Oh and not to mention, the extremely rude and unprofessional cashier (whom definitely need to be terminated on the spot) was an absolute disgrace to be the face of your company! Let me be clear, it was NOT Liberty (she was very resourceful, kind, polite, upbeat and willing to assist throughout the chaos in this madhouse location). It was the ghetto cashier woman whom caused this place to get a negative 5 star! This unprofessional, loud, yelling through the store cashier who began to scream at paying customers her system crashed when we were simply trying to identify which checkout lanes were open. Then she added more fuel to the fire, opens another checkout lane leave customers standing in the crashed checkout lane and begin to service other customers behind the ones that were previously waiting in the lane where the system crashed!! Are you kidding me??? So guess what? Those customers left their items in the cart and walked out the store!! Now you have revenue loss at a time like this… I completely understand she might have been frustrated, but we are here to patronizing your business with our hard earned financial funds, NOT to be going back and forth with an employee trying to understanding which lane is available. After all of the disarray, NOT one Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead came out to defuse this confusion!! Horrible, I will NEVER return to...
Read moreThis Kroger is by far the absolute worst one to shop at and work at. They don’t care about their customers, I know I use to work there. I would watch my managers say anything to get the customer out of there. I lost my job because a very angry man was following me and screaming at me. I was supposed to be working the customer service desk. I had a line of people and the assistant manager was too busy talking to another employee her friend who was supposed to be on the uscan. I had customers looking at me asking where’s the person for uscan? I went to try and help those customers too, when an angry man who didn’t want to wait in line started screaming at me and following me approaching me! I was scared I felt I was in danger. I went to my assistant manager for that department. Who had no clue what happened and was surprised when I just left, still with an angry customer following me through the parking lot! I called when I got home cause I was scared no answer. I showed up for work the next day and was fired! I was fired for leaving without running around the store to tell the store manager! Union got the recording and fought for me, but Kroger didn’t think it should have been fought for! They are sooo short staffed and treat their employees with special needs horrible! I wouldn’t recommend shopping or working...
