I am editing this review and lowering my original rating . The fact that I'm being not only offered free daycare, but that this facility posted a dozen pictures of dogs outside literally 3 days after my dogs ordeal is just insulting and laughable. I have never hoped for a business to fail, but I feel that Pet Suites needs to make a public apology to not only myself but to everyone who has had these experiences. I expect a personal apology from Heidi at the front desk for her arrogance and disregard for my dog's well-being and for her complete lack of customer service. Miata was very nice and appeared apologetic for the situation, but I did not witness any sort of concern for the way that I was spoken to by heidi. Miata did refund me for the stay. I originally paid for it because it is not ever my intention to get services for free. The offer of a free day of daycare and a free enrichment session is laughable. I would never subject my fur baby to the neglect of this place especially after finding out that my friend's dog had been hurt and the fact that they completely disregarded that.
Shame on you, Pet Suites.
I was really excited when this place opened. My dog has been going to the Barkshire in Troy since he was 3 months old. This location is much more convenient for my family. I jumped on the $99 unlimited 30-day daycare special when they first opened. About a week into it, I had my doubts. Nearly every time I looked at the camera, the staff was sitting on the play equipment on their phone. My dog would sit there looking extremely bored. When I brought it up to a staff member that my dog looked bored, she stated that I could sign up for enrichment sessions. I have to pay you to play with my dog? Why are you working at a doggie daycare? Today, I was in a pinch so decided to give them another shot after several months of not going back. 8 out of 10 times that I looked at the cameras, the staff was on their phone and sitting down. I watched my dog sit hopefully by the door waiting patiently to go out. I didn't see them take him out once. My husband called and spoke to Miata and let her know how upset I was. She advised that she would comp today's visit. When I got there to pick him up, I asked Heidi at the front why my dog hadn't been out all day. I was advised that they are taken out as soon as they get there and then not again after Group Play which ends at 5:00. I had dropped him off at 7:15. I was flabbergasted. Apparently, they expect the dogs to go to the bathroom inside. My dog won't do that. Heidi gave me my total which was $32. I informed her that I would go ahead and pay it even though Miata had said that today would be comped. I also advised that I would not be coming back. Heidi said, "okay that's fine have a great day!" with a big fake smile on her face. She then kept that grin on her face and spoke as sweetly as she possibly could to everyone else while I stood there dumbfounded waiting for my dog. I finally asked to speak to the manager and Miata came out with my dog. Miata appeared to sound understanding and listen to my concerns and expressed that she had walked around to her staff and advised that they should not be on their phones. I asked her what time she spoke to her employee about being on their phone. She stated a half hour ago. I showed her a screenshot from the camera 10 minutes before showing the employees still on their phone Nearly every time I've looked at the cameras at this establishment, the staff has been sitting and looking at their phones - so I have a really hard time believing that she doesn't think that happens- or that she even really cares. All of the public areas in the daycare have constant monitoring. To top it all off, once I got home, my dog made a beeline for his water bowl and drank for a full minute Non-Stop. I don't know if this means that they didn't provide water, or that the water was not refreshed regularly. At any rate, my dog seem desperate for his own water. I have to thank Pet Suites for showing me that not all Doggie Daycares are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI won't be using their grooming services anymore. My dog's haircut looked terrible. The groomer missed like 10 spots where the hair was much longer, and there were multiple scratches and abrasions on him. This was my first visit at this establishment because my original groomer wasn't available.
Update: Please, if you love your dog, do not bring your dog to this place. I feel like they are abusive to dogs. My dog was shaking uncontrollably and terrified when I picked him up from grooming. When before that, at other groomers he was happy and very well behaved when picked up and during the grooming process. The customers and potential customers are going to see a lot more bad reviews for this place in the upcoming months. Watch and see. I have a very bad feeling about this place, and I whole heartedly advise dog owners to steer clear from this place. They don't seem to be educated about dog care or seem to genuinely care about dogs at all. They just care about making money. Nothing else. I got very bad vibes at this place while I was there. I just felt the need to update my original post strictly for the love I have for dogs and for what they might have to endure at this place. If my post can at least convince one potential customer to not bring there dogs or dog to this place, I would feel that their dogs or dog would be protected from potential physical or psychological harm. I had to update my post for my own peace of mind. Hopefully, this updated post can at least convince one potential customer to avoid this place. Please, please, go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible would not recommend! First off, my dogs have been going to Camp Bow Wow for over three years and we love it. Never have had an issue. I decided to give my dogs a trial here to have a back up in case Camp Bow wow donāt have availability, just wanted a back up. I got a call during their trial run that my dog was growing and cowering in the corner for most of the dayā¦. And she failed her appt. She is a lab and is very playful but gets along well with dogs as she has always been going to day care since she was a puppy. So I picked them up early. My other dog was wet all over his face when I picked up I asked why and they said they spray them in the face when they get aggressive with other dogsā¦. I questioned this because my border collie has never had an issue either!! Upon pick up the girls struggled to get the dogs harnesses in- it was like they had never worked with dogs. It was actually amusing and annoying at the same time. How do you work here and canāt figure out a dog harness??? It was overall a bad experience and dogs have instincts they know if they donāt like a place. They were both shaking when I picked them up. I called camp bow wow after this to see if there was ever time they saw bad behaves my dogs they were so surprised they said never your dogs are the most well behaved. Moral of story is the people that work here are under qualified, spray dogs in the face and overall are just not experienced dog handlers. ...
