Fox 5 Theatre — Local services in Sterling

We have been trying to make this work out for a family thing for about a year and it never fails to blow up in our faces. Try to go on Tuesdays for the special pricing and it is NEVER the movie any one wants to see, so we read website it says no opening week movies ok so we wait a week and......bam the movie you want to see is highlighted at the ticket booth Tuesday deal doesn't apply to that movie.(add the fact that we live over an hour away and don't know this until your standing in front of the ticket booth.) On to the popcorn situation so it costs as much or more than tickets for popcorn and drinks so we start reading the board to see what we can do to save a little , conclusion buy the buckets and just get refills. nope it stills comes out to about $30 + dollars for 4 buckets and 4 drinks....I think it's time to start going else where..... sad been coming here my entire life. Haven't been since COVID, but they have been slowly adding newer movies. Last movie we saw here was Call of the wild. Also saw 2 other couple's we new from town! They have a popcorn tub that you can get refilled for cheaper than buying another one! They do a good job keeping it clean considering they can't afford a lot of staff! Bathrooms could be marked more clearly as I went in the middle of a movie and realized on my way out that I had gone in the Men's bathroom! A cozy and well kept small town movie theatre with 5 screens that is far more inviting and comfortable to experience major motion pictures within versus the large chain movie theatre experiences of large cities. Theatres 1 and 2 are comprised of the original old Fox theatre and thus the seating and layout of theatres 3,4 and 5 are much newer.
