I agree with the recent reviews. Pathetic customer service. They gave misleading information. We wanted a furniture that can be delivered quickly in 2 weeks timeframe. The manager (Mohamed) told us before placing the order on Monday that if the furniture is delayed by more than 4 weeks, I can cancel and get a refund. As it was evening, he said if it’s delayed by more than 4 weeks, he will call me the next day. He called me the next day (Tuesday) morning with estimated delivery timeframe of more than 8 weeks which absolutely won’t work for us. He texted few alternate options which we didn’t like and asked for cancellation which he acknowledged with either refund or store credit whatever I prefer. I opted for a refund. I was ready to visit the store the same day but he told me that as he is the manager, only he can cancel and wanted me to visit the store over the weekend (Saturday). As he acknowledged that I can cancel and get a refund, I shopped around and bought A NEW FURNITURE ELSEWHERE. I visited the store on Saturday, he was not available and told me to come the next day. I called them Monday before I visit the store. They told me to come over in the afternoon. While I am on my way, Mohamed calls and says that the furniture is now available with the 2-4 weeks timeframe and cannot be canceled. Can you believe this??? Because he communicated that I can cancel and get a refund, I shopped for a different furniture and now I am ending up with two furnitures. When I spoke to their General Manager, Tony, he was talking about the store policy doesn’t allow it. How many of us read the store policies before signing the invoice at the billing counter? Read moreA while back I was looking for a new sectional sleeper couch. I had shopped around at other stores, like Ashley, but their prices were just insane. I found a nice section leather couch, with a love seat, corner, and queen size sleeper, but the price was $2800! I also wanted a matching coffee table with drawers and a lift-up top, which was a stunning $699.
I went into La Monarca and their store was so packed it was crazy, and the selection wasn't great. However, after explaining what I wanted, they pulled out a catalog to look through. Turns out they have the exact same furniture as Ashley! I found the couch I wanted, and the coffee table too! Their price? $1700 and $305 respectively.
Total great deal!
I ordered them and it took about a week to arrive. I paid for delivery which took a few days. The guys took the love seat apart (or maybe it came that way?) and brought it up a tight flight of stairs, in and assembled it. Unfortunately, the sleeper would not fit. So we talked and agreed to remove the metal stair railing I had, which just bolted into the floor. Then they carried the sleeper part up, which was massive, and put it all together. Finally they put the railing back in. Creative guys, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, the delivery did not occur as promised. Subsequent calls yielded inconsistent information, with assurances of a delivery within an hour. Despite requesting to speak with Mohammed, the owner of the store, obtaining that information seems to be a challenge for the employees. I was initially inclined to support this business, particularly as an immigrant myself appreciating their resilience. However, my current experience has left me disheartened. The lack of transparency and the considerable time wasted in attempting to resolve the issue have worn my confidence.
