I ordered one carne asada taco and one cordero taco; the cashier ( she was not wearing a name tag and I did not ask for her name) handed me a device that would vibrate when the order is ready to be picked up. When the device rang I approached the counter to get my order.
When the representative handed me the food I noticed that wasn't what I had ordered. I kindly mentioned to the lady that that my order was not correct, she then looked at the cashier that had taken my order and whispered that the order was wrong.
The cashier came to me and told me that that was my order. I replied by saying, "No, that was not my order. I ordered one asada and one cordero."
She then repeated with and agitated voice, "No! This is what you ordered, that is what you said."
Again I replied, "No ma'am I ordered one asada and cordero."
She repeated the same thing multiple times as before and then showed me the receipt telling me that I ordered a Jose Jose taco. I answered that I have never heard of that type of taco, I could not have ordered that even by mistake. The cashier would not accept that she made an error and at this point she was visibly upset. She then ordered the other lady who handed me the food to give me what I wanted.
When the other representative served me the correct order I asked the cashier for my refund. She then proceeded to roll her eyes at me and reached into the tip jar next to the register. She pulled out a dollar bill and she stretched her arm towards me and waived the dollar bill at me saying, "Here is your money."
I looked at her with surprise and said, "I want the refund on my card."
She placed the bill on top of some items on the countertop. She then turned around to help another customer. She then basically shushed me by saying "What do you want? I have a customer."
I told her again, I would like to know the price of the tacos and if I was going to receive a refund. She looked at me and said, "I don't understand what do you want, the difference is only one dollar and I am giving you the money."
She grabbed ththe bill again and waived it in my face once more. I then said, "I am just asking you a question. Plus I had just placed a dollar into the jar."
She then reached into the tip jar once more and grabbed another bill waiving it at me again. I requested to speak with a supervisor since that behavior is completely...
Read moreWe came in for an impromptu lunch. The place is really clean. The staff was really agreeable and kind. They share a space with a brewery and also with a restaurant bar. It’s a pretty neat concept. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The place is packed all the time. 2 January it wasn’t that packed but there was enough movement. We ordered our food at the counter. I saw that they had bottled drinks, like Mexican Coca-Cola and some other drinks, including Jarritos, a natural juices soda. I ordered a fruit punch one which is really delicious. For lunch, we ordered chicken tostadas , and my husband ordered two tacos: Chorizo, Asada Asada, Cordero (lamb) and Carnitas. He could tell the difference of the different meats, and he really enjoyed the Cordero and Carnitas. The only downside was that the meats were on the warm or lukewarm side. Same thing for the chicken tostadas. I wish they would serve them a little bit more on the hot side. We ordered one chicken and empanada as well, and even though the dough is delicate and delicious, the chicken inside again was not hot enough. Food is tasty, the place is clean, and they have a lot of great options. It’s really worth a try. Hopefully next time I will remember to let them know about the meet being under warm which can...
Read moreUsually, this place is great but today it definitely wasn't. They were out of everything except the pastor, lamb and chorizo but that information didn't come out for about 15 minutes of ordering and getting "we don't have that on repeat" which gets tiring when I just wanna order food. So I ask for the Romonas nachos which has the lamb which they have. They say "sure. Chips and salsa?" And I respond with "as a side, sure" and nothing was spoken of later. Try to get the receipt at the end, he finishes the order before I can send it to myself so now I have no receipt.
Fast forward to getting the food. I did actually just get hand chips and salsa for dinner. So went back and asked where the Romonas nachos were since we had my husband's nachos and the chips and salsa and the response we get is "oh you just asked for chips and salsa" like sir, what was our 15 minute conversation about spicy lamb about if I just wanted crunchy chips and salsa. Then they hand me a thing of spicy lamb which I was thankful for but what about the rest of the meal and I can't even look to see what I was charged for at all?????????
So I'm doing the math later to figure out if I got scammed or something because THAT was...
