UPDATE 9/10/24
After Matt reached out I gave him a call. We were on the phone for about 25 minutes discussing my situation and some options that I had. He assured me that he has some of the top Goldsmiths around and that this is something they can fix with confidence it will be as good as new. Trusting his word, I left the ring with him. The next day he called with an update letting me know he wants to have a few Goldsmiths look at it to get some extra notes on it. Then called the day after giving me my options and said the ring will be ready for pickup in about 2 days. Matt personally delivered it to the Devons store in Stockton and when I picked it up it was exactly how he explained, good as new. I am delighted with how my situation was handled in the end. I am looking forward to do business with Devons again in the future.

I am leaving this review with a heavy heart. I have been a Devons customer for over 14 years. I have bought watches, rings, necklaces, and earrings from here countless times. My mom had her wedding ring purchased from here, I also purchased my wife's wedding set from here. It has been a family jeweler for quite some time.
When purchasing my wife's ring and center stone diamond 11 years ago after I had made the purchase my wife had noticed something inside her diamond. We took it in, and they let us know it very common and it's like having a "freckle". Not sure as to why they would sell a diamond with a "freckle" in the first place. We were told that there is nothing wrong with it at all. Fast forward to about 6 years ago my wife took her ring into be cleaned and the person who took it back had noticed that her center stone diamond had a crack in it. They were shocked and said they will keep it and let us know what they are able to do. A few weeks go by, and I get a call from them saying they SHAVED DOWN my wife's diamond without asking for consent and charging us over $400 for it. Which caused it to become a smaller and lesser weighted diamond.
In January we took our rings in to be cleaned and were not told there were any issues, everything seemed to be fine. A few weeks ago, my wife's wedding ring had somehow snapped the center stone setting right off. We immediately went into Devons and were told that since they no longer sell Tacori Jewelry that they cannot help us and to go to Sacramento to another jewelry dealer that sells Tacori and have them send it out to be fixed. I feel as if ever since the Diamond being cracked issue, they have not wanted to deal with us as customers, I feel like sending us away is their doing of firing us as customers, they do not want our business and do not want to deal with us. Because I do not spend thousands a year with them on jewelry, they are quick to ignore the fact I've spend thousands on an item I expect to be taken care of, regardless of the brand. Here is my story: I've had my eye on one of the most desired men's Rolex for 2 years. I've visited at least 100 ADs around the world and at the same time have been turned away by 100 associates. The experience was always the same. Standing on the opposite side of a Rolex display case, I kept hearing the same thing, "Sorry, it's impossible. Maybe you'll get lucky years from now." 90% of those conversations left a sour taste in mouth and I was being pushed to settle for watches or jewelry I had no interest in.
Fast-forwarding past hundreds of discouraging and pushy sales associates, comes the wonderful and amazing Kevin! I've driven past DeVons at least a hundred times prior to my first visit, and that's something I completely regret. The team and environment there is top-notch, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and unlike any other jewelry & watch store I've ever visited (shout-out to Cole too). From the moment I met Kevin, there was just this optimistic and positive energy radiating off of him. I still felt it was a long shot asking for my dream watch, but Kevin didn't hesitate to promise he'd make it happen if I remained patient. Like I said starting this review, a true gem and dream-maker. I put my faith in Kevin and the DeVon's team and they came through in more ways than I can possibly thank them for. I'll forever be grateful to Kevin and DeVons, they have a loyal customer in me forever!

Read moreI have always hesitated to visit any of the authorized dealers in the bay area due to their lack of customer service. I've noticed it would be especially terrible if you were not a VIP or have not had any purchasing history there. So last year while searching for a timepiece, I decided to check out other reputable establishments. I found DeVons based on Google reviews, so I decided to give them a shot. I reached out to them regarding a timepiece that I had been searching for. After sending an email. Anthony replied to my email promptly and kindly invited me into the store to discuss more about the timepiece. A few days later, I came to the store and Dylan made me feel welcome when I arrived at the store. We talked about the watch that I was looking for, but sadly I was informed that the watch wasn't available. Dylan is a true professional and knowledgeable, instead of stopping there Dylan was so thoughtful to let me try on the exhibition model, provided all of the details of the watch, and put me on the list for the watch afterward. During the interim Dylan would constantly check in and provide status updates. A week ago, I received a missed call and message from Dylan, and to my luck and excitement, he told me that the watch was available.
And even if the timepiece never came back in stock I would still continue to go to DeVons for future purchases/inquiries. The team there definitely goes above and beyond. They are friendly and take time to listen. They won’t try to pressure you or push you into another product.
