The dealership sure has changed greatly with new ownership! I bought my Toyota 4- Runner 2019. The new ownership beware of pricing, purchasing a car or service check around prior to accepting! I have had every service suggested by repair persons at Stroudsburg Toyota until recently, prior to this I felt under confident of services. The inspection and oil change turned into thousands of dollars! Tire replaced, one price no discounts no option's what was offered or nothing! First I was told tires passed then repair person sent me update was wrong they do not pass! Wipers $77.00!! Left strutt small leak to be repaired near future! Etc.. Mind you my car has been maintenanced timely and like new with almost 80,000 miles so these things need to be done over time I am not being unreasonable! After much confusion of what was issues and what was not, no options for tires I declined inspection! Oil change that was it! The service reps are very nice and do there best! I have yet to receive call from management, sent email and free oil changes with $15 off next service. Took my car to local service and received new wrangler tires and inspection for $1,100.00 plus I am getting back $60 from rebate on tires!! The tires again only option at Stroudsburg Toyota was almost $1400.00 just the tires!! The local shop did not want to repair the strutt because he had not worked on a Toyota with these Hydrolic lines attached, think I am explaining correctly. I took back to Stoudsburg Toyota was given quote one strutt $688 now when car is there I am told all needs to be replaced..both stutt and back shocks or price for one shock was as much as replacing all. By this time I am so frustrated left them complete job. $1661 was charged I received the $15 off from my coupon received from management. Couple days later get email for 10% off my declined service!! Called all numbers within option left message for management, text service rep to have management call me, nothing! I want this 10% that I should have been offered when I came back for this declined service. Monday I called every option but no person, finally in sales Brendon answered he was getting me to management, came back this person was with a customer, 30 minutes no call back. I called Brendon back he states this manager cannot help but Scott will call me in the morning no call! Called Brendon late morning he did not answer!! I have heard nothing!! BEWARE..THIS IS PRIM EXAMPLE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...
Read moreI figured I would share a post as to bring to light an unfortunate circumstance that happened during my service yesterday. I bought the Toyota 86 in for an oil change as well as state inspection. I provided a valved oil drain plug that I wanted installed, and thinking nothing of it since naturally, the oil drain plug goes on anyway, the mechanic was kind enough to charge me $32 just to put it on, $32!? Why $32? Because "he had to clean the oil pan surface and put it on", but if you think for a moment, naturally every mechanic cleans off the surface when putting a drain plug back anyway. I wasn't too thrilled about that, but the real kicker is this, I have a four-channel dash cam that is in security mode, meaning exactly this, that camera runs 24/7, it runs when I drive, it runs when I'm parked, and it runs when I'm asleep, but for some reason when I was given my car back after the service was complete, both wires on my dash camera we're disconnected and the camera was tilted sideways. THE MECHANIC WAS GETTING PAID TO DO AN OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION, WHO GAVE HIM THE AUTHORITY TO DISCONNECT MY CAMERA?? Regardless of the service staff telling me to be rest assured that nothing on the vehicle was harmed, the service staff IS NOT THERE when the mechanics are doing the work because they are in a completely different facility across the street from the main facility. Did everything seem to be in order, no, my camera was disconnected, and in the video, the mechanic looked right at the camera as he disconnected it, which makes me paranoid that something else might have been altered, in today's world, someone disconnecting someone else's camera is always suspicious, but all I can do is hope nothing else was messed with. So, $32 to install a valved drain plug which installs just like a regular drain plug is excessive, but to disconnect my camera which is designed to protect myself and my car was absolutely unacceptable and adds insult to injury after charging me $32 to install the drain plug. I've been going to Halterman's Toyota for many years and this is the first time I've had an issue like this with them which makes me question my trust for them, the oil change and state inspection was part of the job, NOT the camera, you can do better than that Halterman's, I have faith in your facility. Kudos to the service staff as they are always helpful, but the mechanic was out of line...
Read moreI am a repeat customer to Halterman’s Toyota because I want to deal with people I trust and respect. There are other Toyota dealerships that are a lot closer to me with whom I have dealt but I find the people and the friendly environment at Halterman’s keeps bringing me back. It is not too big nor is it too small. It is just the right size to give me personalized service that is convenient to me. Their service department is excellent and worth using because of the quality of their work and the helpfulness of everybody in the department. Special thanks go to Matt Raymond with whom I had my first purchase experience at Halterman’s and who‘s been a friend ever since. Thanks to Mark Leighton who helped me with the financing on both of my vehicles. Thanks to Rodney Wilson with whom I had my last purchase experience. Lastly, thanks to everybody at Halterman’s in the purchasing and servicing departments with whom I deal for making the experiences so pleasant.

To start Justin should get a raise in salary. I had a question about my vehicle that I recently purchased from Halterman's. I drove into the service department and Justin recognized me from my recent purchase and came to me offering to help. I explained my problem to him and he said he would take care of me as soon as he finished with another customer. As I waited, Matt went out his way to say hi to me and make me feel welcome. Matt was my first contact at Halterman's on a previous purchase and I come back to Halterman's because of him and the other people there and who make me feel welcome. Too make this long story short. Justin fixed my problem in a few minutes and I was on my way feeling completely satisfied. The speed at which my problem was rectified is another reason why I like Halterman's. There are Toyota dealerships closer to my house but they are large multi-brand dealerships and will give you a date a week from next Tuesday if you call for an appointment. Halterman's has all the capabilities of these dealerships but is small enough to give you personalized service. I can't say enough good about them. Used Halterman's again. Halterman's is big enough to handle all of your needs but small enough to give you a personal and awesome car buying experience. I really enjoyed working with Rodney Wilson and all of the other people at Halterman's while...
