I purchased an item in the spring at Clam Shell Coothier as a gift to give to someone when I returned north. I realized in July that the zipper was not working as I prepared to give it as a gift. I was nervous about calling the store since by then I had destroyed the receipt and it had been quite awhile since I had purchased it. I expected it to be an issue.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. The owner of the store could not have been more gracious. She apologized immediately and had the bookkeeper credit my account. This is a refreshing experience in a world that often isn’t guided by the character traits demonstrated by the staff at this store. The owner stated in so many words that she was treating the situation in the way that she would like to be treated had this happened to her.
