I have been shopping here for about 3 years now and have always recommended this store to my friends until today. My two friends and I came by to do some Christmas shopping and decided to pop in to look around. One of my friends found a candle she really liked and wanted to get it and walked around the store with it as we were still looking at everything. We stopped briefly to check out a checkerboard in the back as we were walking around and the guy working went up to my friend and rudely told her that she needed to go put the checker pieces back the way they were. After she moved the few pieces back onto the board she was uncomfortable with the way he spoke to her and just wanted to leave so she decided to put the candle back onto a shelf. As we were about to walk out the door the man came running up to us and really loudly said to my friend, "Hey! Where's that candle you were going to buy huh?" It created a huge scene and everyone in the store was now staring at us. Already upset she walked all the way back to where she had set the candle down just to show him and he had the nerve to say "Well if you didn't just set things back down you wouldn't look like a thief." My friend left mortified that she had been accused of stealing and was actually shaking when we left the shop. I'm not sure if it was our appearance or age but I've never been treated like this before at the shop and I was pretty mind blown. I really loved this store and always stop by every time I'm in down town but now I don't know if I'll be recommending it to anyone or even going myself. Seeing my friend so upset from the way she was treated really turned me off from this store. If you want cute hippy style clothes or trinkets while also receiving proper customer service just go to Psychic and the Genie one...

we went to the store on monday 9/23 for my husband's birthday with some money to spend and left not spending a penny. After moving back to the area we have been there twice, both times the same thing happened. the store itself is cool, lots of goodies, lots of handmade stuff we LOVE, BUT not one employee acknowledged us, nobody looked up from their phones or stopped what they were doing to say hello, not a smile, no eye contact, nothing, we were completely ignored on a monday afternoon when the store was totally empty and we were the only customers. we put back what we were going to buy and left. i am pretty sure the owner or manager was there, the dude with the slicked black hair, behind the counter, was doing nothing and didn't even look at us. we love to support small businesses but not this one anymore. our first visit back in july we spent about $300, bought a bunch of stuff including one of those cool wood mushroom tables and thought maybe because there were alot of customers in the store that day, that's why we were totally ignored, apparently not. to whoever owns this location, this is not a good way to run a business when all the shops in the area are run by and employ friendly people who actually engage customers in conversation in addition to saying hello. may be time for a refresher on customer interaction and engagement.........super...

I have always had good experiences at this store. I have been many times when visiting friends in the area. However, I was treated very rudely by one of the workers today. I was walking around with some friends and we were checking out a checkerboard and walked away from it and I was then rudely confronted by a worker that I needed to clean it up even though we didn’t make a mess out of it. Everything was still together. I felt uncomfortable and decided to set down the candle I was planning on purchasing and I walked out. The same worker then ran after me as I walked out of the store and he made me walk back into the store and point out where I set it down. This caused a scene and everyone was staring at me as I showed him where the candle was. He then said to me “Well if you put things back where you got them you wouldn’t look like a thief”. I was extremely embarrassed and felt like this could’ve been handled in a more polite way. This scene caused me to check out Psychic and the Genie which is a very cute and...
