We recently purchased a beautiful hand quilted king sized quilt. The woman running the shop was SO helpful. I wanted matching pillow shams but none were available. As each quilt is a one-of-a-kind hand sewn piece, these can’t just be ordered. However, she spent a lot of time helping me find the matching bolts of materials so that I can quilt my own. It will be my winter project!

I’ve attached a few photos of the quilt at the store and on our bed. It matches the room so well and has very similar colors to the quilt we had for our old queen sized bed. It looks surprisingly good with the pillow shams from our old queen sized quilt set. These will do until I can sew matching ones. If you are looking for a beautiful handmade treasure, this is the place to come, but be prepared to pay for the artistic talent and many hours of hard work that are behind these heirloom-quality pieces.

I want to thank anyone who was involved in this beautiful quilt. Whoever chose the fabrics has a real artistic eye for color and design. I know how much work goes into hand quilting a piece this size. I can tell from the beautiful stitching that it was done with a lot of care and pride. We stopped in last Friday and had a wonderful time shopping. I bought a beautiful quilted table runner that was exactly what I hoped to find. I also purchased some hair clips that actually will hold my very thick hair. A jigsaw puzzle and new bra from the undergarment room in the back completed my shopping. Quite a variety of items! The fabric and notions selection is excellent and the finished items they sell are beautiful, well made, and reasonably priced. The ladies were friendly and they have a wide range of materials to choose from. They also offer kits, notions and precuts. There are some quilts on display that left me feeling inspired.
