If I could leave 0 stars I would.
Message from the Bride:
Unprofessional, Rude and Unorganized. Three words that sum up this place.
This is the worst tuxedo place. The owner : Ms. D, is so unorganized and rude. This store doesnât do anything electronically at all! Itâs 2022!
They write everything down on sticky notes.
Let me start from the top. I can in here with three kids to get them fitted for a tuxedo for the wedding. Weeks prior I asked if they did kids, they said yes . When i arrived they were limited in styles they could do which was much different from what we spoke about over the phone.
I stick with them anyway and decided to just get plain black tuxedos . They had to ask me for the photo of the measurements because they lost it!
I am scared that these measurements wonât even fit. If they canât hold onto measurements , how would I know you measured them properly??
I confirmed over 10 times even in writing via phone call and email, text about what the tuxedo package comes with.
Then when the suits came less than 30 days before my wedding , the owner tells me , they donât come with shirts.
She begins going back and forth telling me she wasnât paying attention to the email nor messages I sent although she was the one who told me to send the email and text!
This place is a mess .
Long story short if your going to get a single tux for a single event you might have better luck but this place is NOT a place to go to for a large wedding party or parties larger than 2-3.
Update: the pants of one of the boys came in so long, 10 inches too long. This proving my point, they didnât measure him correctly. Or they switched the orders of the boys. Thereâs no way of knowing since they write everything down on sticky notes.
Another Update: Instead of taking responsibility, lying again. Iâve attached the picture of the sticky notes you wrote and used to keep my nephews measurements. And now their tux arenât even fitting . Iâm going to have to take it somewhere to get fixed.
I refrain from adding more receipts of your negligence throughout my entire experience .
Also how can staff have 120 years of experience as you mention in your response.
Make sense !
Piece of advice because you have other unhappy customers on here leaving reviews- Perfections is NOT what measures success of a business. Itâs how a business is able to resolve and respond to the problems of their clients is what makes you great .
I am highly disappointed in the service I received . Worst...
Read moreBeloved, gather âround because I need to bear witness to a miracle that took place at The Gentlemanâs Closet.
Now listenâŠI didnât walk in there for a revival, I walked in for a tuxedo. Just a simple black tux for an event. I wasnât trying to get my life changed. But God had other plans. Because the moment I stepped through those doors, I was met not with pressure, not with pretense, but with purpose. And that purpose wore a name tag that said: Willisha. Well, technically there was no name tag, but that part just sounded good, right?
Anyway, let me park right there and give this woman her flowers while she can still smell âem. Willisha is what happens when your favorite auntie, your best friend, and your personal stylist all show up in one body. She was patient like I was buying a house. Kind like I had just buried a loved one. And funny like a group chat with cousins after midnight.
I was in that store for almost two hours trying to figure out what I wanted. I kept circling the racks like I was waiting on a Word from the Lord. Meanwhile, Willisha never broke a sweat. She smiled, joked, read my indecision like scripture, and gently guided me toward the promised land of satin lapels and clean lines.
Every time I said, âI think I like this one,â sheâd give me that look like, âYou donât even believe that.â And she was right. She saw the vision even when I didnât. She was my tuxedo doula, coaching me through the birthing of this look with grace, good humor, and a whole lot of class.
The Gentlemanâs Closet are top-tier. Selection? Impeccable. Fits? So clean. But the service? Thatâs where they leave other shops in the dust. The suits may make the manâbut Willisha made the moment.
Iâve been to this store before, multiple times. Always a good experience. But this time? This time was different. This was the BeyoncĂ© âHomecomingâ of customer service. The Super Bowl Sunday of styling. She didnât just help me find a tux, she spoke to my spirit and reminded me: you donât just show up to events. You arrive.
So hear me when I say: If you need a tuxedo, donât waste your gas or your prayers on the mall. Go to The Gentlemanâs Closet. Ask for Willisha. Tell her youâre indecisive and dramatic and need divine intervention....
Read moreWent in today looking for a suit for myself and groomsmen for my upcoming wedding. I was speaking with a lady from the start, until a gentleman interjected. I showed him the picture of my ideas I had and he said they can do it. He then mumbled as if I did not hear âwatch me make this saleâ to the lady. I asked about renting for all of us in the color scheme I had, and was told that isnât the way to go everyone should buy instead because it can be tailored perfectly. I understood that, but had the idea of matching for rentals, especially when I saw online already the options. So he gave me the rental booklet and said jacket and pants start at $265 and walked away, as if the sale was not good enough. I asked questions on what is included and what options are additional costs and was told to look at the book. So as I was leaving I said thank you, and he had me take a picture at the register to log in. I did and he navigated my phone where I saw him click 5 stars as the rating before closing it out. Of course I would not have rated that or even given a rating, but since this popped up online I thought I should edit it to what I really thought. Understand many people had good experiences here, but the person I had was not the right person and just wanted to commission sale instead of listening to my...
