Burlington — Local services in Sumter

I do not leave this review lightly,especially since I typically love Burlington, regardless of the location. However, this location, is by far the most disappointing. I'm not sure if its hard to hire and keep staff, but the corporate owners definitely needs to look into why there is never anyone working at this location. Today I went in and there was one young lady at the register. The door alarms kept going off and she kept calling for a manager and no one ever came. The line was growing and it appears the young lady was the only one working. I walked through the entire store looking for someone to help her, there was no one. I know you guys have to respond to these reviews so that people see you are responsive, but please do not try to pacify the situation by saying "thank you for your feedback, we'll look into it". I love the store great deals clean store sales associates are great half of them at least. I shop here 3/4 times a week. My only complaint is that if your hours say one thing that’s what it should be. I got in the store around 10 there were 5 repeated messages about closing they locked the doors at 10:36. Why when you close at 11. This is not the first time this has happened and they closed before the time. This store gets a lot of traffic and what do you think will happen when people keep coming and the doors are locked early. Change the hrs if that’s the case. Or remove the ones that have an issue with being in the store...

I went shopping here the other night with my family, and the staff knows how to make you feel unwelcome! They went on the intercom to say, “Watch all areas and cameras.”

I know they were referring to us because we were the only people in there! Some people like to take their time and shop! That lady with the little bun, Bri, was walking around watching us like we came to steal. She wasn’t even trying not to be discreet.

No one had big bags. Everything had Ink alarms. Their carts lock at the door!

I have money to shop! It’s ridiculous how the staff made us feel that night.
