I was hesitant to write this review but at this point I’d rather help save someone from having the same horrible experience I did if I can. Let me try to keep this simplified; I moved to the area recently and was in need of a new hair stylist as I had a concert I was planning hair for. I had my hair done two days before I moved states with my regular stylist, we ordered 3 bundles of human hair weft extensions for sew-in’s at $742, my hair was perfect. I moved states, went in to a salon for a move up and color blocking where the salon ordered one bundle of premium weft extensions from Bellami at $400 for my blonde color blocking (so we didn’t have to bleach any of my hair) and I ordered two more bundles from bellami at $500, while the colors were beautiful they put them in with a different method and my scalp didn’t approve so I started hunting for a high rated salon close to my home with great reviews/history and I found KMS. I made a consult appointment a little over a month before my concert, met with the stylist and gave options to see what was realistic, we settled on one and had a plan, I thought. I came in for my appointment, she pivoted the plan, gave me a color that wasn’t what we settled and planed on and worst of all, she only put in two rows of my extensions, not three like I had and wanted, but she CUT them WITHOUT my permission, to make it all worse she chemically fried off part of my hair. I was charged $480 for the appointment and had to spend another $45 on a hair mask due to her frying my hair literally off, (yes I still tipped because she did perform a service and I don’t believe in just being rude that way) and as the appointment ran so over the quoted time at consult I didn’t have time to voice my issues or distress. I messaged the stylist the next day explaining my concerns and she offered to fix it, I came in and the fix was to add the third row of hair but she again cut that extension and changed nothing else. I tried to let it just go but was devastated at having all my hair cut short after working for over 6months to afford the cost of the hair so I could have some length, it not being close to the color I had asked for and having my concert in a week and a half away I just really wanted it fixed. I called and was apologized too and told the owner would be contacting me to help resolve this, she did and we set a date for me to come in a week later (two days before the concert) and get it fixed, she blocked the whole day off for me and she was working on getting extensions. Apparently it was not for me to get it fixed it was for a consult for them to fix it…….. that wasn’t my understanding at all as when I initially called I expressed my concern and urgency given I had 9 days until my concert and thought that was relayed along with the issues. Morning of the appointment (again to not fix it apparently) I had an emergency at work and I needed to go in which would leave me an hour late for the appointment so I immediately texted the owner and she was very rude with me. Explained she would have to move her entire day and that because I couldn’t be on time she had to move forward with her other clients……. Again very confused as she said “I’ve blocked off my whole day for you to get this fixed.” She finally tells me, “you can just come in and I’ll move my schedule for you” so I was in tears but went hoping for a fix. I was told that she confirmed she didn’t ask before cutting my extensions and she also cut them while they were out instead of after she sewed them in to blend better. She also confirmed that she did have a chemical reaction and thus literally fried off some of my hair but they then tried to say “well its because your a previous cancer patient” (that was 9 months ago and I did look, my hair isn’t damaged enough to cause that this far out). I was asked what I would like and then told that I wouldn’t be able to do anything other than cut it shorter to blend it all and go dark for the next year and that’s exactly...

The good: The ambiance is great, the cafe bar is a nice touch, and the mobile check-in is convenient.
The bad: Unfortunately, the actual service was extremely disappointing. I spent over 2.5 hours in the chair and paid more than $300 for a full head balayage. I explained clearly that I wanted something natural-looking and low-maintenance. What I received instead were harsh highlights that didn’t even start at my roots, leaving me with what looked like an inch of grow-out from day one — a clear sign of poor application.
At my appointment, Lauren (stylist) said I could call and come back if I didn’t like it. So I did. I was offered a gloss treatment to tone things down and make the look more natural. I wasn't familiar with what a gloss was, but I agreed, hoping it would improve the situation. While it did dull the harsh highlights, it also made it look like nothing had been done to my hair at all. After spending over three hours total in the salon and more than $300, I was back at square one.
Now, a month later, my hair has returned to the same uneven, brassy state — and only then was I informed that gloss lasts just 2–4 weeks. At no point was this explained to me beforehand. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of transparency and the quality of the service. I will not be returning to this salon and cannot recommend getting balayage here, especially not with Lauren. Unfortunately, I now have to spend even more money at a different salon to fix the...
