Lost my business and we shop here A LOT. I'm aware of the adoption kit program as we had adopted a kitten through the UW back in October of 2023. We had to put him down in January 2024 due to ALOT of medical issues that we found through the UW vet visits. We adopted a new kitten from the CCHS in May 2024, went to Mounds to pick up the adoption kit and buy more stuff and even brought our kitty with us and they said only one kit is allowed. The look on my daughters face (she's 6). Fast forward to 7-24-24, I had called to inquire about possibly picking up adoption kits for adopters that live 2+ hours away. I am fostering/transport drop-off for 4 dogs that would be transported and dropped off late on a Sunday evening. I thought it would be nice to get the adoption kits to them when they pickup so they can head directly home with their new fur babies. Since it would be so late and one lives 2 hours away from the closest Mounds and in a rural area. Yes the adopted from a 501(c)(3) rescue. Mounds decided against this as they said the adopters would physically have to show up so they can set-up and account for them EVEN THOUGH, I have all the adopters information and paperwork. What got me first was the fact if someone were to adopt two animals together only one gets a kit and the...
Read moreI never knew about this pet store until my boyfriend introduced me to it. I absolutely love the food we got for our puppy. She is reacting to it very well and that was a concern because she’s part German Shepherd and they get really sense of stomachs and skin and she’s reacting Super Bowl to the food. Plus I love the bones we can give her. They have a very wide selection. We got her harness that I absolutely love it’s different than any other store than I’ve seen. And the pet food we get her her brother and uncle eat the same food because some of her family members were adopted by other family members, and they all react really well...
Read moreGreat place if you are looking for dog food & supplies and cat food & supplies. However, prices are high. I personally go there for their brand of dog food which is rated high and doesn't break the bank. If you are looking for something for a reptile, good luck! They may have it, but the prices are extreme. I even tried to get some food for our Betta fish and it was $8.00. I know I can find the same thing for around $2.00 in Madison or even at Target or Walmart that are in Sun Prairie as well. It would be nice to shop for all of our animals at 1 place, but I stop there for dog food and then go elsewhere for our...
