Easily the worst fast food experience I've had in years. Was my first (and probably last) Sonic experience. Didn't start out well when they were out of 1/2 of what we tried to order (at 6:30pm). So we picked some other things off the menu. Had to wait forever, even though we were the ONLY customer in the lot from the time we ordered until getting our food. Decided to check my burger before leaving. Was a bad sign when I tried taking it out of the bag and it leaked some brown runny watery sauce all over the rest of our food....and all over my clothes. Was upset to say the least. Got in line, because at this point another customer had showed up. Had to wait...all the while the rest of our food was getting cold. Finally got to the window, handed them the burger drenched in whatever the brown runny sauce was. Told them it wasn't what I ordered, and that I ordered a double burger with JUST cheese, onion, pickle and ketchup. They take our receipt and disappear. Someone else shows up to the window and tries to give us a burger and some shakes (assume for the customer behind us). Told them I'm just waiting on a burger. They disappear for a while. Come back with a burger. I immediately check it...wrong again. I let them know it's wrong, and the person at the window seemed upset WITH ME when it wasn't what I ordered. I repeated my order again. Less than two minutes later a different person brings a burger, which I thought was a third different burger, made correctly this time. I did a quick check, didn't see any lettuce or brown watery sauce, so we took our ice cold (at this point) food and went home to wash the stains out of my clothes from whatever that brown watery sauce was. Now this is the worst part of it all. When I got home, I took the top off the burger, and the bun was slathered with mayo (or something white)...and no ketchup (one of the FOUR whole things I requested be put on the burger). So clearly, they didn't re-make it after the 2nd time it came out wrong. They just pulled the lettuce off and sent it back....still wrong and hoping i wouldnt notice....probably just to get rid of me. That's just awful customer service. And at that point malicious. I only got the feeling that one person behind the counter really cared a little, and nobody really seemed to care about how terrible of an experience it was. We will likely never return to this location again, and maybe never to any Sonic if they are all...
Read moreI went to this Sonic twice this week. I ordered our food on the app and it said it would be ready at a certain time (I know sometimes things happen to make the wait longer), but 1 person was in front of us when I check in at the drive-thru. It took forever for someone to answer, when they finally did - I waited at least 15 minutes behind the one car. The reason is because they gave our order to that car. So they had to remake both of our orders... I pull up to the window and ask why it took so long and they said they had to remake everything. They forgot 2 items we asked for as well.
The next day I went for just a soda.I ordered it at 1010pm ON THE APP. 50 minutes before they closed. It took 5 minutes for someone to check me in at the drive-thru (no one in front of me) and then I waited another 20 minutes for my 1 soda. I ORDERED ON THE APP! I couldn't just drive away and get a refund because they don't do that. All they had to do is walk out their little door by the drive-thru window and give me 1 soda. When I politely asked the lady at the window why they didn't just come out and give me my soda so I wouldn't have to wait 25 minutes for it - she very rudely told me - "We trying to close and we're very busy" (I ordered 50 minutes before the close and there was 1 person in fornt of me and 2 in the stall - SO BUSY!). I said it would be nice if they could have just walked it out to me and she said, "Have a good night," and slammed the window in my face. They obviously wanted to all leave at 11 instead of serving their customers until closing time (especially for 1 soda). Oh - and they offer 1/2 price drinks in the app, and I was charged full price. I love sonic. My wife hates it becasue of how slow and incompetent the workers are. I always told her to let it go, but this time...
Read moreWaited entirely too long in the drive thru line but once I got to the speaker it made sense why. I waited several minutes before even being acknowledged. I spoke loudly and clearly, ordered my items with reasonable time to ring them in between, and still was asked to repeat myself at least four or five times, I asked for: a double cheeseburger, a small mozzarella sticks, and a blue coconut flavor slush with nerds. They rang in: the wrong burger, a medium mozzarella sticks almost 2x the price, and a slush without nerds So I asked them to correct these things and the mozz sticks were still medium and I was on my lunch break from work and I didnt have time for them to keep making me repeat myself, so I just said that was all. When I got to the window the lady working it didn’t say a single word to me the entire transaction.
Not a very large or complex order. One entree, one drink, one side. Thankfully the food was alright, only complaint there was way too much mustard on the burger. I used to work in fast food so usually I have sympathy for a mishap here or there, things get busy, things get missed, but that many issues in one visit plus the fact that the majority of the other reviews here are horrendous can only indicate one thing, this place either needs serious retraining, or restaffing. This is a chain that has been open for a very long time, I guarantee the POS systems are pretty modern and straightforward. The job isn’t hard, the staff just doesn’t care even a tiny bit.
