Update 9/15 They installed the other waterfall on the side, looks great, except that they didn't bring the back splash. The contractor said they would stop by and install quickly this past Tuesday however I havent heard from them or Surprise Granite. It has been almost two months since initial install, multiple trips, and still not finished.
At this time I have to add a review of 1 star. I have been waiting for corrections for over a month from Surprise Granite (SG). This was my first time purchasing countertops so I leaned on them for experience
-I gave SG the dimensions of what I was looking for, and SG used their software to chart it out and contracted me for countertops and one vanity from one slab -despite being two miles away, no one came and took initial measurements for the countertops for estimate (did not know that was standard at the time) -contractor made initial appt and I used their software to reschedule, then no one showed up. Called and SG said their software is like that sometimes -contractor came and took measurements and I confirmed with SG the plan when I dropped off cut out holes for sinks -despite that contractor did not have enough material for the job and was able to use some from previous job at no addt cost -job included two waterfalls and they did only one, promised to fix -left water sopped rags and dripping line under bathroom sink. did not communicate to me -they finally was able to get slab and needed to stop by to pick up part of the counter, they called at 11:41am and left a voicemail for a Monday appt, yet they sent me a schedule for Saturday at 12, 20 minutes from that time. Called twice, no call back to reschedule. -its been over a month
They are trying to do this right, and make sure I have what was contracted and paid for initially. I value trust and communication, both of which I didn't find well here. Repeatedly miscommunicated schedules, miscommunicated what they could do for what price, miscommunicated...
Read moreDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We scheduled an appt for 9am, received a text confirming and the next morning (appt day) I get a phone call @8:55am confirming our appt for 9:00am and then the lady on the phone quickly says they will be there between 9-10, probably around 9:30am and asked if that was o.k. Never once PRIOR to this scheduled 9:00AM appt did they indicate a window time, but that is understood, I answered back to her "ok if thats what it has to be" (my husband was home from work and I barely woke up because I worked until 5:00am) and she again asked if 9:30am was ok and I said yes, but then all of a sudden an EXTREMELY RUDE, could hardly speak and hard to understand man, spoke so fast said something like "that's ok, that's ok, we don't need your business, we're not coming!" And hung on me before I could say anything. I called back because I wasn't exactly sure what just happened. A nice man named Greg answered the phone and I said someone called me and then I was hung up on, and he transferred me over to "Josh" and I said I was just hung up on and he answered that was me! I'm the owner, and we don't have to take any condescending attitude, we don't need your business! I was in SHOCK that a so-called company wouldn't even allow the customer to ask a question or make a statement about the time they would be arriving, especially since they called 5minutes BEFORE THEY WERE TO ARRIVE. Thank goodness we found out now because if we would have needed to question anything about the job performed, they would probably yell and walk out on us, leaving us hanging. What is up with this, obviously they are so busy they don't care how they speak to people. But wait when things slow down and they need business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DO NOT USE...
Read moreThis company came out to drill a hole in our granite for an RO system. The owner, Joshua, was able to get an installer out within minutes, which was amazing! Unfortunately, the gentleman Frank drilled the hole the wrong size—too big. Now, our RO faucet does not sit properly on the counter, and we will have to rig it up, ruining the aesthetics. We told him BEFORE he started drilling that the bit looked too big, but he insisted it was fine. He didn't measure the bit up to the sizing diagram we provided him. We contacted Joshua, who proceeded to curse and threaten us with lawyers if we didn't pay him. Joshua stated that the services were rendered and that if we didn't pay, he would put a lien on our home (over $250 ). Joshua was screaming that he would show up to our home with lawyers and his crew and that "they don't make 1 inch diamond drill bits for granite (lol)" I mean really, it's a hole. It's too big. The guy didn't measure twice cut once. He told us it was fine, it was fine- until it wasn't. Calm down Joshua, no need to scream at people. No wonder your employee told us to contact him directly if there were any issues. We are not going to be bullied into paying for services that we didn't request- which is a hole too big for our faucet that we now have to fix. Addendum: If the owner thinks this install is acceptable- a wobbly install, not seated on the counter, with a gap visible from across the room, then he really is as delusional as he sounded when he cursed out my husband and threatened to show up at my house with 'his lawyer' if we didn't pay him. If this is the type of work the public wants from a company, and an owner that resorts to immediately screaming and threatening the customer over his employees mistake, then please hire Surprise...
