I have been there before for dinner A long time ago and I have to say I am so disappointed this time. I brought a friend of mine in there for the first time. It was 1pm. The hostess asked if we had reservations, yet the restaurant was not busy. Only one table inside was being occupied, and there were approximately 8 tables out on the terrace occupied. We waited a good 10+ minutes for somebody to come and take our drink order, which took another 5 to 10 minutes to get Once that was done, we placed our order and waited over 30 minutes and still no food. I finally called the server over to us and asked if we can at least have our soup and salad that we ordered with our meal and she said sheâll see what she can do. Five minutes later a small bowl of soup and small bowl of salad came out About 10 minutes after that our food came. My friend ordered a half vegetable Panini, which was supposed to have vegetables on it. It was so smashed that it looked it was a half piece of bread on the plate. She lifted it up, and there was barely anything on the half piece of bread. I ordered a French dip and the French bread was about 6 inches in length 2 inches in diameter and literally had two shaved pieces of beef on it with Ajou. This comes Ă la cart The waitress never came up to us and asked us if we needed any drink refills We literally had to call the server to our table and ask for a refill. The half Panini with the salad was $12 and the French dip was $14 and the soup was $7 One soft drink,$3. Finally, I called the waitress over to us and asked if there was manager and she said they are not there. She Asked if thereâs something she can help us with and I showed her the sandwich and she said she would take the French dip off the bill and offered us desserts on them for the inconvenience. So we took her up on the offer, ordered two desserts and asked if we can do it to go because weâve been sitting there for so long. We had no more time to sit there and she said yes that we can take anything to go but the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e or the gelato. We ordered The bread pudding and an apple desert. The waitress came to us and told us they were out of the bread pudding so my friend asked for the apple dessert as well In the meanwhile, she brings the check to our table and I noticed that she charged us for the sandwich, The bill was somewhere around $40 It shouldâve been somewhere around $22. So I said something. Then another server comes to our table and says that they can only do one or the other so I told him just take the sandwich off and Forget the dessert. We paid and left. We do not recommend this restaurant unless you want to pay a fortune and lose weight because you barely get any food. They are obviously shorthanded in the kitchen, and the servers definitely are not attentive. I was embarrassed, taking my...
Read moreI just wanted to share our experience at Vogue Bistro. I don't like writing critical reviews, but I've been burned here more than once with the food and had here the worst steak of my life (not being dramatic). My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to have a more upscale dining experience close to home, so we decided to dine at Vogue Bistro. We figured we would give them one last shot. First impressions were dirty and old, worn menus, (first red flag). Our waitress arrived promptly, (she was great). We started with the crab cakes & lobster bisque. The crab cakes were okay, kinda bland. The lobster bisque had a good flavor but I guess all the grainy stuff in the soup was the lobster. Like lobster dust. Next up, my wife ordered the pasta with alfredo sauce and I ordered the Steak Vogue w/risotto. The pasta was okay but the sauce wasn't an alfredo sauce that you are used to and tasted something different so my wife wasnât happy with the dish. The Steak Vogue looked really good but wasn't good. The risotto was, again, bland and wasn't that great. The mushrooms on the steak were dry. The steak however is where the âworst steak of my lifeâ comes in. Once I cut into the steak I noticed the interior was like pink mush. I was actually able to scrape the insides of the steak out onto my plate and it was all mush with no texture. Iâve had a lot of restaurant steaks and have cooked many steaks in my life and I have never seen this before, ever. Not sure how that even happens. The waitress even said sheâs never seen anything like that before and she quickly took the plate to have the kitchen refire me another. The second steak came out and looked really good on the plate. I cut into the steak and it was raw on the inside, (insert your best Gordon Ramsay meme here). That was it for me and the waitress apologized, (wasn't her fault). We did get a complimentary creme brulee for our anniversary. I ended up eating a burger at the Jack in the Box cause it was close and I was hungry. I still have no idea what they did to that steak. Also, they need to season their food as everything was bland and lacked proper seasoning. This is the last...
Read moreWe made 4pm dinner reservations for a 4 top and made sure to let her know it was our first time there. Food and ambience was delicious and cozy. Server was very informative and polite, but, there was a miscommunication. Our runner brought food to the table and was asking us which person to give the order to at the table and she had a dish in her hand which we did not order. The runner seemed irritated with us , she looked like she just wanted to get rid of the plates as soon as possible, since we werent familiar with the plates and the unknown beef skewer order threw us off and confused us for a second. In my experience first time guests are highlighted within the reservation and the servers and runners who tend to the guests are notified as well. Also, when taking an order each seat at the table has an assigned arrangement, so when running the order to the table the runner should know which plate goes to which seat without having to ask. Than our server comes to our table and speaks to the person who apparently ordered beef skewers and she informed him she doesn't eat beef and no one ordered beef skewers. Passively he insisted we enjoy the beef skewers and said we won't be charged. We felt really bad about it and confused. Server checked on us a little later and another person at the table decided to eat the beef skewers since she didn't want it to go to waste and she mentioned they were delicious and the server stated " yeah sure it tastes great when it's free ". So when the check came the person who apparently ordered the beef skewers insisted the server add the beef skewers on to the check, she just wanted to pay out of principal...and yes she left a tip. This was our first time there and the person who paid was visiting us and we were looking forward to find a nice legitimate cozy restaurant for future gatherings with future family who visit. The food and ambiance is definitely a reason for us to go back. But I hope the communication and service improves. Not looking for a discount or free food just expect...
