Ok here we go and time is up.
I stopped into Ace Hardware (in Deer Park) to get a retractable curtain rod and I always park towards the back. I pulled up into a spot that I normally pull into in front of the store towards the back of the parking lot. Then this middle-aged gentleman came up and walked around to the front of my van looked in and then came around to the window. I rolled down the window and he said āCan I help you??ā in an extremely condescending smug way. I said āHelp me with what??ā. He said āYou canāt park hereā. I said āI donāt understand this is a parking lot??ā He then he said rudely āYou need to moveā again with a demeaning tone. Then I said āWhere does it say that I canāt park here?ā Then he said rudely āI said you canātā and I asked āAre you the owner??ā and he then said no āIām the managerā. I then asked āThe manager of the parking lot??ā. He said rudely āThe store managerā. I asked him his name. He smugly told me his name is āBarry Larucheā he then chuckled. He then walked off with a stupid smirk on his face.
So, I immediately called, the corporate office and talked to a very nice lady name Angie and explained the situation. She was very helpful and was apologetic for his behavior. She said that since there were no clear signs stating that there was no parking allowed he had no right to ask me to move. I wanted him to hear her say this so I went back into the store and he was standing there with a smug look on his face, and I put her on speakerphone and he became even more rude and she could hear it. He kept telling me to āhave a nice dayā and I left the store in frustration. I will never understand why people that are miserable will get into a customer service occupation. This was so unnecessary, a terrible situation and I felt humiliated by this ridiculous unhappy person.
If you have ever wanted to do me a solid please go and park towards the back of the parking lot of the Dillonvale shopping center in Deer Park in the front of the store and/or by commenting āShame on youā.
I have been a customer there for years and will never go back. I have never had an issue with any of their branches until this guy.
I gave the corporate office 24 hours to resolve this unnecessary event and she said she would do her best to communicate with the owner. If it was not resolved I would share with as many people as I could find and a Google review. I have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the second time I have tried to go to this local store, and they didn't have what I wanted. A lot of tools and other things are missing with bare shelves, a postal worker told my wife they can't get supplies, another employee told me today that new owner is runng this store into the ground. It's like they do not want our business, and this place USED to be the "Go To" place under the previous management. They had everything! Now I have to go elsewhere like Home Depot, Lowes, or order from Amazon!!! How sad! And all the replies on here say to call them and discuss. Why can't they see the problem??! What good would it do to call and tell them that they have no stock to sell? I went down to Dollar Tree, and the lady there told me that she had heard the same thing about Ace. They have nothing now, maybe a little hardware. No bolt cutters, no colored key identifiers that slip on your keys, just split rings and key blanks. Very sad! Forget finding anything you want here! If you want my business, stock up on everything and give us the service we deserve! Or lose...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATED REVIEW Went in yesterday to get some wasp spray. There is a new owner, and the place is starting to look AMAZING!! Seems like heās trying to bring back the once well respected ACE HARDWARE we all know and love with stellar customer service! I will leave the previous review below to show the change(s) if applicable to any other customers who have recently had a bad experience, and left a bad review.
Seemingly the employees have gotten so rude I barely even shop there anymore. The dark haired woman plus size who usually works USPS has been rude several times. Even cussing someone out on the phone while present. The guy in the checkout recently argued with my wife about key pricing, and after he rang it up she was right! He was still rude afterwards! This was mentioned to a manager who just hung up on me. Used to be my go to local for quick things but over the last year or so I just make the trip to Home Depot. This would explain empty shelves, and apparently their checks are bouncing to...
