Rent-A-Center — Local services in Sycamore Township

I needed to rent a washer and dryer for 5 months. I called Rent-A-Center at 4000 E. Galbraith Road in Cincinnati OH. and spoke with Marigrace S. regarding pricing. After shopping around by phone for a few days (during which Marigrace S. called me 3 times) I conceded and agreed to rent from her. She said that she needed my DOB, driver’s license number and my SS#. I told her I was not comfortable giving her my SS# but was informed that I could not rent without it. When the delivery men arrived (2-1/2 hours past the given time frame), the paperwork they gave me to sign had my DOB, driver’s license number and my SS# on it! It seems that Marigrace S. is only concerned about protecting her identity by not putting her full last name on the paperwork, but has no concern for my privacy even after my expressed concern over it. This is a clear violation of my trust and personal information. It should have legal ramifications. Shame on you Marigrace S.!

Dean is the absolute best store manager I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. He is professional, kind, and does everything he can to work with you. He's very understanding and easy to talk to, he cares about his employees and customers. I was impressed with Dean from the first time I met him. He came to my house for a delivery and Dean spoke to my brother who I took care of, he was nonverbal and total care. He didn't ignore him like some people have done because of his condition. I knew then Dean had a heart of gold and treats everyone with respect. This company could not have a better manager run this store. Don’t ever purchase anything from them ! I got a dryer from them paid it off in two months the week after I already paid it off the dryer goes out and they are not willing to help me by replacing it or give me my money back so I go purchase a new dryer!! Their customer service is rude and nasty . Before going anywhere to get any item, especially appliances like a washer or dryer, please, please go somewhere else. Do not go there. They will not replace anything. Regardless, they don't care what the circumstances are. They're not going to replace it. They are simply money hungry and just will sale you anything!
