Il Gusto Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

A nice Italian- American eat out. You all have to try this place for yourself to understand the simplicity of a place that has only been open for two years. The dining area is not for large parties. The picture of the inside was the aftermath of a party table of 8! The garlic rolls with garlic oil are the best out of all. I added to my order i had already placed, and the staff was so apologetic that it took extra time. Honest staff checking the order with the customers every time was great to hear. They did make a mistake on the calzon but remade it correctly before i even had my order. Instead of tossing the wrong in the trash, i was given a freebie. The real reason for a three star on the food rating just a little spices would go a long way! the pizza is just that school pizza. You either love it or you hate it. The spinach calzon could have used a mixing instead of being separated inside the calzon. Lastly, the chicken stromboli I ordered didn't have spinach and onions i requested. Perfection!! My boyfriend and I had picked up a DoorDash order to deliver from Il Gusto and we’re impressed by the atmosphere, menu and aroma. After reading the reviews decided we had to go back. We finally make it tonight with our family and we were very impressed. My chef boyfriend commented that it was the best Alfredo he’s ever had. The margarita pizza was perfect as is. Their crust is a little on the crunchier side, and a nice base for the slight sweet but balanced sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Our picky 7 year old ate half of a 12 inch cheese pizza, crust and all - his compliments to the chef.

The service was great as well. We did eat in although there are only a handful of small tables. There was never a down moment where customers weren’t coming in for pickup. I didn’t see anyone wait more than a few minutes.

We’re looking forward to supporting this business for a long time, and can’t wait to try other things on the menu. It appears to be a family business...

KEEP THIS PLACE IN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!! Husband went to go get some food from here It's like something that you would have in Vegas or New York!!! REAL ITALIAN STYLE PIZZA!!! You could tell everything is handmade and authentic they have pounds of flour sitting in the back that's how you know bread is made fresh!!! Everything is made out in front of you they do not skimp on cheese and the prices are amazing!! Everybody needs to start supporting this small business so they can stay in the area! You do not get pizza like this in this type of area they have pizza like somewhere you get out of town. Please do not let this business go out of business It's worth trying and you're probably going to love it! We're grateful to have a pizza place like this around because normally you only get stuff like this when you travel. Thank you so much for the work that you put into your food Gusto pizza and pasta!!
