Ten Thousand Villages — Local services in Symmes Township

Wow! Love this store. I can't wait to stop in again on my way to northern Kentucky. This store has such easy access to I-75. The associates were amazing - treated me as it I was a long-time loyal customer (which I am -- just the first time to this store... I have been buying from Ten Thousand Villages long before the name became Ten Thousand Villages).

I called earlier in the week and asked them to hold an item for me.... It was no problem for them at all. When I walked in the associate had a big smile on her face and asked if she knew me... I said, "Why, yes, I am from Lima and you are holding a "Paint-Your-Own-Elephant" for me". We shared a good laugh. There were two in stock - they put the BEST one on hold for me.

Anytime I go in a Ten Thousand Villages, I always leave with more than I came for -- and this time was no exception. I found a card that my husband wanted me to look for (it was the last one - my lucky day!) and some new-to-me Fair Trade coffee. I love the Fair Trade coffees sold in these stores, but haven't tried this one yet.

I am looking forward for my next visit... No idea what I will be buying...

She and my sister would frequent this establishment before Covid!! It has so many unique one of a kind hand made gifts including a variety of hand quilled cards!! So many beautiful things!! Their dedication to creating opportunities for artisans in developing countries is commendable. The unique and meaningful products they offer make it a go-to place for finding one-of-a-kind gifts. Fantastic gem of a shop!!! All items are handmade fair trade and the staff volunteer their work hours (non-profit).
