I’ll start off by saying this is my first review I have ever posted, but I think this situation deems worthy of a review for future customers at this location. I went in in a few weeks ago with my grandmother and everything was fine. Food was good and so was service until my grandma got her credit card statement back. Our server had added an additional $5 to her tip. When I went in to discuss the issue with the manager all we were looking for was an apology and a reimbursement. Instead, this manager dismissed our issue and assured us that “all of his employees were honest” and that I needed to “calm down” even though I wasn’t speaking loudly or abruptly? He got very defensive. I used to work in the restaurant industry and I know that the reality of this situation is NOT common. He told me it was because “we are human and make mistakes”. He also blamed it on how they have “over 500 customers a day so this sort of thing is common”. Well if this was common at your location I not only feel sorry for you but you should of also known how to handle this situation. This man also then had the audacity to tell me that sometimes “we get fat fingers”??... I know especially how tips are put into the system and there is an “okay to charge” button they need to press after putting in the tip number. Luckily my grandma keeps all of her receipts so it was easy to spot. This manager handled the situation poorly and I’m sad to say they have lost a few customers over it not being delt with properly. All we were looking for First Watch was a reimbursement and apology. If you choose to go to this location, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! I will be calling corporate to inform them about...
Read moreWe're just a visit or two shy of being 'regulars', with good reason. Always fresh food, friendly staff and great environment. Today, I'd like to thank the person that paid for our breakfast. I was just doing what someone should do for anyone else; helping. Being kind. Respecting my elders. More specifically, Bob. A nearly 95-year-old World War II veteran. I learned in a brief encounter, that he also likes his coffee hot and with cream. He has a touch of OCD and he likes syrup on his pancakes. I'm actually hoping that writing this review, that an employee, or someone reading this, knows Bob or Bobby, as his dining companion referred to him. Bob walks a lil bent, slowly and with a cane. He's someone that I would like to find and be a friend. I would love to take the time to hear the stories and memories of someone that has been around since 1928! Very few people are granted that kind of lifetime. I was 35 years old when my mother passed away, she was 55. I have a respect for life and see things different than others. Becoming "elderly" isn't for the faint of heart or of weary body. I respect Bob for having done what so few get the chance to do. If someone could help me find Bob, I'd be so very appreciative. Thank you again to the anonymous person who saw me doing what I do; being kind to another person the way I'd want others to treat my loved ones and myself. I hope we get to run into Bob again, but in case, I'm putting it out there, if you know Bob, please RO to me. Have a...
Read moreFirst Watch used to be a nicer place to have brunch but I guess they have changed their aesthetic as of lately. The whole restaurant gives off this intense Farmhouse hipster vibe but it's a chain restaurant so it really just feels like a half trying Bob Evans. For a place that serves breakfast food nothing really seem to scream breakfast food at me. Everything had some weird mix of grains or greens in it was just not satisfy my craving for pancakes and eggs in the morning. I got the BLT eggs benedict and it was subpar, I really did not like the ciabatta toast it made it difficult to eat. My guest and I both ordered the seasoned potatoes well done and they were not seasoned nor well done. And everything in our meals need a lot of additional seasoning to be enjoyable. About two bites into our meal my guest and I both wished we had gone somewhere else for brunch. The good service and speed overall helps balance the bland food but...
