Nice size park for kids to run some energy out.

One of the playground toys broke and all they did was barely attach some red caution tape to the remaining sharp metal triangle base. Pretty dangerous if kids are running and not paying attention, or for little toddler toddling around since it's really low to the ground.

Big metal slide, and various other climbing toys. Also has a smaller unit for younger children/toddlers. Has swings including a couple of the infant/smaller toddler designed seats.

Looks like it used to have a spray ground, but it's no longer functioning.

Has a gazebo with I think 4 small square tables. Multiple park benches around the playground and various spots along the walking trails.

Has multiple (single) all gender restrooms that are normally open from dawn to dusk, but occasionally are closed during hours they should be open.

Cute community garden at the far south end of the park.

Lots of walking paths to walk or bike around.

Keep aware of many people not leashing their dogs. (Tacoma has leash laws for a reason). I have no issue if people are doing it when nobody else is there, but some people are doing it all the time throughout the park making it hard to walk my dog...

Pretty nice neat little park. They have a splash pad water area, bathrooms right next to it. When I went (July 21) the bathrooms were locked and unable to be used so that was unfortunate and I had to cut my trip short. The playground is a bit on the smaller side but has some fun and unique stuff to play on. There are swings as well. There is a basketball court, and plenty of trees for shade on a hot day. The surrounding area seemed a little questionable but overall it was a nice place to bring the kiddo for a quick park run. Kids will enjoy the splash pad on a...

Appears to be a pleasant place to take a stroll, have a picnic, or just enjoy a bit of sunshine while the kiddos play. Unfortunately, at times it's surrounded by troubled members of society in the form of homeless folks and purveyors of illicit pharmacological products. These folks leave lots of rubbish lying about, which is also unfortunate. Regardless of that, I walk the perimeter on occasion to get a little exercise, but I wouldn't bring my grandkids here. 😥 I do commend those who are tasked with keeping the park from becoming unusable. It must be...

It's really a dog park with a decent basketball court, a water play area and a baseball field. The park itself has a lot of poo to navigate, even the baseball field. The main park portion is a bit too soggy and rough to walk in the grass and it's not one of the better maintained parks in the area. The restrooms are open during the day but they are pretty gross. I suppose they are what you would expect from a public bathroom that is probably only serviced once a month. It is mostly handicapped accessible, which is not par for the course with parks.

this park is one of family friendly place n the metro park distributes FREE LUNCH for kids. there isnt many play tools but its very spacious. lots of benches, too. the water spray area is a small compared with star center, wright park. its good for babies, toddlers. Parking situation; maybe 10 structured parking lot(2 or 3 for disable) n plenty of street parking. Stroller moms, try to park near the baseball feild side. there is a flat slope.
