I dropped off 6.7g of 22 kt of stunning family heirloom yellow gold from my great grandmother who was a famous actress be made into an 18kt bypass ring with a diamond and emerald. Gabriel was supposed to use ALL of it! I only got back 3.3g of 18kt gold. Please see pictures of receipts. My family is so upset. It was all I had left of her. I read the rave reviews and chose this place but I was treated so poorly, especially over my white gold topaz ring project. He messed that up because he talks more than he listens. I wonder if his treatment of me was discrimination against people of my background. Also, his bezel setting on my diamond and emerald ring was so sloppy.
Gabriel, would you let anyone talk to your daughters in the way you yelled at me? So condescending. I guarantee you would not speak to me in this way had my father or partner been there. I couldâve used the heirloom gold for my future engagement ring. This project was supposed to be a test to see where I want my ring made.
The reason there are so few reviews despite being here for 25 years is because their practices are unethical. Believe the negative reviews.
My white gold topaz ring was messed up beyond recognition and I had to make FIVE trips in my work day, countless calls, because Gabriel doesnât listen. It was an inexpensive ring that I just wanted the shank filled and resized so I can wear it comfortably. It is another sentimental piece because my father purchased it for me when I was 12. Itâs never been worn before, It is now misshapen and has scuffs and dark marks. Thatâs why you see the receipt as 11/14⊠dropped off project on 11/1 but didnât get final product till 11/21. Itâs come back with scuffs and marks and the shank is still hollow because he never did it correctly in the first place. My receipt says âfill in shankâ and he left it hollow, added foil backing (ew). To fill in means to make solid Gabriel.
He kept the excess gold he removed to correct what he messed up, but of course I didnât get money back for this loss â he said itâs payment for his time. Excuse me but what about my time? My time is money too. Iâve spent so much time making five different trips to get you to fix what shouldâve been done correctly in the first place. After I got it back, I just didnât have it in me to continue to deal with this place to correct their work.
If you are used to exquisite south Asian or middle eastern jewelry, avoid this place. Thereâs better craftsmanship elsewhere. If you want 14kt gold work and basic designs, thankless customer service this is the place. Find yourself an Indian or middle eastern jeweler, or go see Jill at Tiffanyâs.
I have attached receipts before they claim I am not their customer. Not sure what I can pursue legally but at the very least I can make others aware of my experience. I have heard itâs common among American jewelers to engage in deceptive practices when they stumble upon quality heirlooms.
I am posting pictures of how much gold I started with and how much I was left with. How did I start with enough gold to be the size of a whole quarter and this is all I have left? Thank God I took this picture.
Iâm adding additional pictures to prove I did drop off 6.7g of 22 kt gold. See the $520 âless previous paymentsâ? Thatâs from my family heirloom. I added pictures from scrap gold calculators to show that I dropped off $522 worth of gold (6.7g 22kt YG), and received back $211 worth (3.3g 18kt YG). An Indian jeweler would NEVER dream of doing this. When I provide raw materials, you should only be charging for additional raw materials like the emerald and diamond I added, plus labor. Thatâs why the credit is applied â itâs the raw material for the project. Iâm sure he took the remaining gold as âpaymentâ, but no respectable jeweler would do this without explaining it to the client. I wouldâve been happy to pay more for labor, if I was given back my remaining gold that wasnât used (and the credit adjusted). What a shady business practice. I canât wear my ring because itâs so upsetting to be reminded of...

After months of exploring our options for an engagement ring (even venturing so far as to visit the jewelry giant Tiffanyâs) we were at a total loss. Unable to find a ring, nor store, that aligned with our values, nor our vision, that adequately reflected our union.
We were finally directed to our saving grace: King Jewelers. A family owned experience-of-a jewelry store specializing in custom jewelry and gemology of 30+ years in the heart of Tampa.
The team is comprised of the most compassionate, kind, human beings whom care deeply about your love and unique union.
They are far more than âsales associatesâ trying to capitalize on a couple. They genuinely care about your vision and heart.
As a team we put everything we could into the process ( what we felt a run-of-the-mill ring-buying-experience simply couldnât). Which yielded the most beautiful, romantic and symbolic result of everything we are, believe in and envisioned, and so much more.
My now fiancé, and I, are simply glowing. Raving about our story, as it is perfectly reflected in the ornately intertwined band, crescendoing to a radiant diamond. A symbol of our wholeness, union and near indestructibility.
We are so very grateful to have invited the King Jewelry Family into our most intimate endeavor. Most of all, we are proud to say we now consider Mr. Gabriel Can, and his family, a luminous...
Read moreWOW! Customer Service at its best!!!! I had a special request to remake a pendant I had made for my wife when I was in Kuwait serving in the military. She lost the pendant. I only had a few pictures that really were not great. I went to a couple other jewelers (Mavilo was one of them) who just blew me off with the classic we can't do it! But the ability to do it vs the attitude of we just don't want to do it for whatever reason made me upset. I found King Jewelers on line and walked in. From that moment it was a friendly welcoming atmosphere. I had several other smaller jobs with watches and a chain. They handled those effortlessly. Then the big project came up. Gabriel, a magnificent master craftsman spent around 40 minutes, giving me his undivided attention on the first meeting then another 30 on the second one, before going to work. Then he made a proto type for final approval. Man, he nailed it. I gave him final guidance and he finished it off. Absolutely beautiful piece of jewlery! My wife loves it. She commented that the new one was nicer, more beautiful than the original, which I thought I would never hear. Gabriel is a world class master craftsman who cares about his customers. He and his family employees are there for you. You will never get STUCK with a piece of jewelery you are not happy with. They will always work to make you happy. I will bring my jewelry business back to King without...
