Loved this place till now...went there Sunday to look at couches and spoke to a young lady there on a couch I had my eye on. The couch was on sale for $1330 plus tax, so it made me want it even more! Told her I’ll be back Tuesday, I have to make sure the measurements are ok before I get it. She told me she’s out of the office from 11-2 because she’s a interior designer... I called at 2:45 they told me she will be back from lunch in 15min. So I called back again in 30min and spoke to someone else. So the person I was speaking to on the phone said I can fill out a credit card and the first 12 months would be zero percent interest. I ended up filling the credit app they said they will let me know within 7-10 business days. When I called the store back to see what’s going on why it didn’t go through (my credit score is very high) they told me because my credit is on lock and I would have to unlock it. They told me I can come n and Fill out another app which will ding my credit score again... I said no I’ll wait till it comes in and ask them if they would honor the price still and they said no. Managment said they have a 20% off coupon but that coupon may or may not work bout the time my card comes in...Now what really pisses me off is told the lady that I have to go home n do measurements and I’ll be back Tuesday but the sale is valid until Tuesday! So why didn’t she tell me that from the get go? Why can’t management honor the price? She knew I was coming back and failed to tell me the sale won’t be valid at that time? They drop the ball and should honor their pricing. So not only I didn’t get a couch from them I got my credit ding for no reason! Ended up buying my couch from somewhere else. As the other reviews stated management is very bad and surprisingly this store hasn’t shut down. Credit card will get canceled when it comes in and this place lost another customer (not like that care). Hopefully corporate...
Read moreI never EVER leave reviews, especially bad reviews, but because of how horrible my experience with West Elm has been, I feel like I have to. I ordered the Haven sectional and chair in June, three months ago. Due to a few customizations (depth and material) my original “estimated delivery” date was July 27th - August 10th. I knew my order would take a little bit longer, which I was okay with because I didn’t move into my place until later that month. During the month of July, my delivery date was pushed back TWICE, and I was told (the multiple times I called) it was due to COVID. Fast forward to mid September, they have only delivered part of my order, the Haven chair and half of my sectional. Upon delivery, I noticed there was a piece of metal sticking out from the armrest of the chair, and the material on the back of the sectional looks old and worn. Keep in mind, I have paid over $3000 for these pieces!! So, not only have I had to wait over TWO months (without a couch at my new place), but the items were delivered damaged and in unacceptable conditions. I am now waiting to hear back from a Customer Care representative (it’s been 5 days since I made the complaint) to see how they’re going to fix or compensate for these issues. If an agreement is not reached I will be requesting for full refund and I WILL NEVER BUY...
Read moreI ordered a custom sectional back in May 2021 as we were told custom furnitures takes a bit of time which was delivered in expected timeline of sep 2021 however they misplaced an ottoman and told that since it’s going to be a reorder, it will be delivered by dec 2021 or we can cancel the ottoman from the order. This is stupid as I planned my living room and ordered pieces to fit it ..how do they expect me to cancel? Also the dec 2021 deadline is extended to January and it’s 25th dec today and it has not update what do ever regarding the order. My couch is white ..whenever they will be able to manage to deliver it will always look different from rest of the sectional. Very poor delivery service and very dissatisfied. The same thing happened with two chairs we ordered in November (big mistake but wanted to redeem my points before breaking all ties with west elms). They accepted the order and within a week they changed the status to backordered and have no update on it since then. Not sure what is going to happen with the order now. But I am pledging yo never ever order from west elm again ever.
Update - 1/28 - the delivery for ottoman is extended to February now. And the chairs are still showing...
