Just WOW! WOW!!!!

I am a retired PE and resident of Tega Cay. As a DIY guy, I dreamed of having a GENUINE hardware store close by. Thank you Lord! I am not joking! I dropped by for my first visit less than a week ago to check the store out. It is well stocked and clean as you would expect from a store that has not even had their Grand Opening.

All else considered, the most important discovery of my visit was the people. The owners, Ryan and Chase Carroll, were there and quickly assisted me even though they were busy working with an ACE franchise gentleman assisting them in their business start up. They asked if I had any specific needs other than the construction adhesive I was about to purchase. As a matter of fact I did.

I have had a Green Egg smoker/grill for over 8 years and it had failed. They immediately offered to assist me with warrantee parts even though I purchased the Egg from a Charlotte business. I obtained the proper documentation from Green Egg as they coached me and took it to them to get my replacement. They found that it would be about 6 months before they could get the items.

Without input or encouragement from me, they took it upon themselves to help. They called and found another ACE store that had the items in stock. They drove to the store, picked the items up and delivered them to my house. No money was exchanged. That is "above and beyond" anything required by their ACE and Green Egg relationships, and further, far, far exceeded my expectations!

I love it! People who care!

Received a coupon in the mail today November 1st that says hurry in today, my coupon expired on November 2. Mailer also says hi we’re in your neighborhood your local hardware store… I go to get a last-minute item needed for entertaining and they are closed at 5:00 on a Saturday. This is not accessible at least stay open til 7? Had to drive all the way to Lowe’s but at least Lowe’s hours are realistic. I’m all about supporting local and prefer it, but how can I if you close at 5pm on a Saturday when most people have get togethers and need a a plant, a chair, tiki oil, or a fire log etc…. I’d reconsider if I were the owner- your mailers says we are in your neighborhood, hurry your coupon expires in 24 hrs but your closed!!! This is the second time my husband and I need something and you don’t have it or you’re closed early. Please consider your hours to stay in...

I have been wanting a Big Green Egg for years. When I finally decided to make the purchase, I wanted to go local and Carroll’s Ace was just around the corner. I went by to get some pricing and Chase went out of his way to provide a full break down of different packages/values/sizes/etc. that I couldn’t even procure on the Big Green Egg website.

After I decided what I wanted, Carroll’s team delivered and assembled the table, egg, and all of its accessories.

The whole experience of working with Chase at Ace Hardware far exceeded my expectations. Not to mention I love my new Big Green Egg.
