Located in a nice strip mall. Not a new but not an old one either. They serve beer & wine, pending alcohol licensing which I hope they get soon as I'm curious what all kinds of cocktails would they whip out. So, for our first time we went for dinner & thankfully it was a gorgeous evening so we sat outside, under the pergola. Neat idea and indoor dining area was freezing cold. Our server lady was very pleasant with great suggestions. For apps we went with Gobi 65 and it was fried to perfection & flavorful for the crust. However, cauliflower itself didnt have have much flavor. For entrée we ordered butter chicken, yellow dal & chicken biryani with keema Naan. My partner loved the butter chicken and thankfully, the chicken didn't taste dry . The dish could've done eith less of food coloring. Yellow daal - my thing is if you go wrong with the basics then are you even worth it? Not this place. Yellow daal was my absolute favorite here and I can say it was done right. Chicken biryani - definately on top of my list here. It's actually had flavor instead of just being too spicy where our mouth would burn. Heres the - logistical issue with the biryani serving bowl - most of it was on the table. I guess a deeper bowl would work better like the porcelain daal bowl? Keema Naan- good but too thin and got too crispy , still better than rest of the places I've visited. Plain rice was served which butter chicken & Yellow daal. Our server suggested gulag jamun cheesecake & or kulfi falooda which they were out of both dessert so I'll be back yo try em'.. clean dining area inside, very clean rr for a busy time. Will be back again. This is officially my fav indian restaurant worth a 30mins drive. The chef stopped by to...
Read moreMy husband and I are foodies. This has become our place to go, tell friends, family anyone who wants real authentic Indian cuisine. Or has taken me too long to write this review. If we could we would go here every weekend when we have our cheat days to eat out. Even our pickiest friends who get tired do the westernized Indian dishes with heavy cream have raved this place. We are over 30 mins but this place has the best dishes. There isn’t a single dish that one can go wrong when ordering. Their mango lasi is the best. The service is amazing. Anand is the owner and he comes over every time he sees us to chat a little bit. My grown kids who visit us from college are so shocked and laugh when they see Anand address us by our names. It has gotten to a point where the staff knows what to get us as soon as we order. This is by far the most authentic and the most delicious Indian place we can go to. I stopped going to Blue Taj and which is so unhealthy and layered with cream on all their dishes for the western taste. There isn’t a dish we’ve tried and said we don’t like. If I could give 10 stars I would! I wish Anand would open a...
