We went on a Wednesday around 6:30 PM. The food was very good and the restaurant seemed family friendly.

CONS: It was fairly busy, and it took around 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Way longer than expected for a place where you order up front and then sit down and they bring it to you. On top of that, when the food arrived I received an entirely different dish than what I ordered. They were apologetic and offered to make me what I ordered, but I was hungry and had already waited too long for the food so I just asked for some queso to top the burrito bowl (which was supposed to be part of my original meal), and they happily provided it.

PROS: All that being said, the food was very good. The rest of my party (4 adults and 3 children) got the correct food & drink that they ordered. The prices were very reasonable and the serving sizes ranged from above average to very large (an order of nachos is MASSIVE!!). They have a full bar there with a bartender so you can order whatever drink you want from the register or just go up to the bartender while you wait. Finally, the atmosphere was open, warm, and family friendly.

BOTTOM LINE: I would definitely go back, but probably not around dinner time. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a reasonably priced and tasty meal (as long as they're not in...

I hate writing a bad review but felt compelled to do so this particular time. Took the family out to eat at this particular location recently and the overall experience was bad. They were out of carne asada AND Mexican rice. The kitchen didn't even prepare 3 out of 4 meals and after 25-30 minutes we checked to see where the rest of the food was were told they forgot about it. FAIL#1 The salsa bar was also out of mild salsa so I asked to have some put out and was told they would. Ten minutes later they bring out a wrapped container of salsa that sits on the counter but no one puts it into the container inside of the bar to be used. Next thing I know someone removes the salsa without ever even being put into the bar. FAIL#2 Finally we decide to get the missing food to go because the kids are ready to leave. The manager was told about the experience and apologized several times and told us the food would be comped. We just wanted to eat but ok sure we agreed. The charge on the card is still there and it's been enough time for it to have been taken off. FAIL #3 I wish the experience was better. Maybe we just came in on a bad night but seriously we left feeling hungry and like our money was...

I was super excited to try this place out and waited weeks before I went...I love the idea of the restaurant but was very disappointed in the food served. My wife and children ordered tacos, which came out cold and soggy, as did the rice and beans...my kids didn't even eat it, which is not normal, as my kids will eat almost anything. The empanada was very good and I was very pleased with it. When my food came out it is very cold also, so I sent it back and waited for it to come back warm...it came back cold again...so I sent it back and it came back semi warm the third time. The staff were very apologetic about the food, but were unable to provide food in an acceptable manner. I'm very picky when it comes to my food, but I never complain at restaurants, but this was too much for me not to say anything. I hope that they are able to fix the issues here and be successful, but I probably won't be back until they're more established and have a better...

After going to a Charlotte location a few weeks ago, we tried this location (a little closer to home). I liked the space. The Sabor Margarita was good but lacked enough liquor for the price. The Dark&Stormy was really spicy. The beef taco was nasty... I didn't like it at all but enjoyed it at the other location. The grilled chicken taco was cold and contained a lot of cheese but very little meat. The staff were nice. My daughter liked the guava empanada. I bought a chicken quesadilla to go for my mom and she said it was okay. Overall, this location didn't impress me much.

I stopped in and got one of their lunch specials, which on this day was an empanada and an arepas for $8. The combo didn't come with a drink, but regardless it's a great deal. The black bean empanada was hot and crispy! And the arepas was just as fresh. They both were very good. The also had a nice selection of salsas. This is a "quick service" restaurant though, so you do walk up to the counter and there are no servers. Its not particularly clear upon walking in so I did sit at a table for approximately 5 minutes before realizing this.

Latin Street food is the feature. Don't expect tamales because you won't find them here. Empanadas, arapes, gorditas, tacos, burritos, corn, plantains, yucca, fresh chips with an assortment of dips (salsas, guac, queso), and a bar. Daily specials featuring beer, cocktails, and food. Their website is very informative and the food is consistent. Burrito especial with al pastor (cooked with pineapple), black beans, and quinoa brown rice is my staple. I usually split this with my husband and an appetizer and/or side or two.
