no clue how pics of my house are on here...how do i remove them? I just had a two day horrible experience with Jerry's Artarama. I am very upset, dismayed and disappointed. On the morning of 12 /20 i placed an online order for $195.00 in The art " Sherpa" paint brush sets for my oldest daughter who works at a memory care convalescent home for patients with dementia. Marissa is the special events coordinator AND one of the things she does is run weekly painting classes for the residents. She is out of supplies so I wanted these Sherpa brush sets for her for Christmas. Placed my order online....3 day shipping at over 50.00, to arrive by Christmas...and done. Order received...ect. I log in the next day...this morning expecting a tracking number and it says ORDER CANCELLED. So I called customer service, was hung up on three times, finally found someone to help me and they said my order automatically cancelled because I was having the package shipped to an address different from the billing address on my credit card. I explained it was Christmas...didn't they have this happen frequently? The customer service representative said due to fraud they had this rule. So....now I am fraud?? I explained I owned both addresses, but the address I wanted it to go to was our big 4000 sq ft house in Mesa, where we were having Christmas but she could just send it to the billing address of the small house in Tempe. The customer service representative said "We have a store in Tempe on Rural road. Just go there, get the brush kits and you will have them for Christmas. " i said are you SURE they are there, i live in the next town over, DON'T drive and will have to pay for a taxi. NO PROBLEM she said. So, i jump in a taxi with my list and go to Jerry's Artarama in Tempe. The sales lady said they do not carry this line of brushes until possibly January. The next place closest that does is...TEXAS OR NEW MEXICO!! I was beyond irate. I have to say, the STORE was very nice and handled me well, but she was even upset and took a copy of my order to call customer service herself who basically sent me on a wild goose chase without checking inventory. HERE IS THE KICKER....I get back home via taxi #2. Call customer service again to place another order for the brushes. He says " no problem I can send them to your house in mesa...《 !!!!!!!》 Do you want that overnight?it's an extra 100.00. Um, no 3 Day service like I had before please? Even though that order was almost two days ago. " oh....that won't get there by Christmas " he said. I know...but until she gets these supplies, these memory care residents have their art classes cancelled. For some of them, that's all the joy they get. "The best we can do for you is ups ground...might be there in 7 days". Wow Thank you I said. Completed the order. He said...why didnt you call the STORE to check if they had the inventory??? I WAS BLOWN AWAY. the rep assured me the Tempe store had the stock. She didn't have the full address, just that it was on Rural rd in Tempe, and didn't give me the phone number. The rep should have placed me on hold and called the STORE to check inventory. They didn't even take responsibility for their huge mistakes...as in Plural. Upper management and corporate really need to fix a few areas here. Absolutely unacceptable and I work for FedEx. Read moreAbsolutely love Jerry's artarama I've been coming here since as long as I can remember and they have such a large selection of extremely well priced high quality products. And you cannot discount the staff that works there. They are the most friendly and knowledgeable individuals with every medium and every substrate That could be used to create art or whatever your heart desires. They are so soft spoken yet we'll go out of their way every single time to not just inform you of the best products that that your needs or what you're looking for but they'll give their own stories of how they used it in the successes that they saw from mixing a certain type of acrylic with a marker on hot pressed cotton fiber board and the other big thing is if you were just getting into art or becoming a creative, I've been to plenty of places and there are definitely a lot of artistic Hangouts and artsy scenes Where you feel out of place maybe because you're new or you're looked down on or talk down on because you don't know everything about a certain subject someone might be talking about and why they see a polka dot elephant drinking a margarita in an abstract painting and what that means for the world lol, All I've got to say about Jerry's though as you will never feel out of place or unwanted or uneducated about how to start creating what you want to build design or create but the staff there will actually start making you feel like you're part of their family or a group of friends and they inform you so well that you kind of walk out with a whole new confidence and excitement that you never thought you would have and I think that's very important to get people into being creative and starting in the arts somewhere. That helps with cognitive functions It helps with people that have PTSD or anxiety or anger or stress or ADD so all I got to say is go to Jerry's artarama and the staff there will make you feel at home and you just might find something that you absolutely love to do and are actually pretty amazing at it and once you start creating art let me tell you it is the biggest therapy and positive experience that just brings happiness and joy to a lot of people including me so I can't say enough good things about this place the prices products the people everything. They have me as a lifelong customer no matter what. Plus buying art supplies different types of pens and markers and brushes and paints and everything in between can get very addicting it's almost like if you're the type of person that could spend an hour inside of Staples and just visualize how nice neat and organized your office could be and how much work you can get done going in and seeing all that stuff inside like a staples, well you may have that same problem with art supplies I feel that type of person all the possibilities of what you could create and everything in between because that's how I am and I get myself in a lot of trouble for buying a lot of stuff lol but I use it anyhow if you've made it all the way through my voice text review I applaud you and thank you to all the employees at Jerry's artarama, you definitely not just go above and beyond but for the knowledge and the help and the kindness that you provide everybody that shops there, I'm all for you guys getting and girls getting a...
Read moreI've been here a couple times and have enjoyed the story so far except for my visit just now when pretty much profile there's a thief just for simply walking around and looking excuse me for looking at a store that has thousands and thousands of options and colors to explore your imagination but just because you pick a few things up and don't spend money every time you're there you are treated like you are a criminal and told if you don't like it then don't shop here. It's pretty sad that someone in a button-up shirt and tie can be profiled as a thief in two visits of the store according to one of the cashiers I regrettably have spent money at this store before but apparently because it wasn't on his shift then it doesn't count and I just go into steal stuff basically I have never been treated like this from any store even Walmart has better customer service and I hate shopping at Walmart but I hope that people read this and understand that they cannot go in and shop around and kill time without spending money otherwise you are going to be profiled as a criminal and treated as such I will take my business elsewhere just solely on the two employees I dealt with today because it was uncalled for and ridiculous I don't care if someone does steel unless you catch them you should keep your mouth shut because you don't...
