ok so I made sure to wait a week before I did this. I went into their store last week Saturday to buy a power bank. first, the associate kept walking pass me and serving other people. yes, those people were white. after kindly asking loudly ( do you have batteries? Aka power banks?) he told me No. I was appalled because this was target. anyway after roaming around on my own, I found them. I saw him again and told him ( this is what I was asking for) he looked up and said (ok) then walked away. after that, I was just ready to go. then after using a gift card I got from work as a Christmas gift, the cashier didn't hand it back and just put it under his register.. I figured it was empty but how?? I knew the balance. I left the store but noticed on the receipt that the gift card balance said 40 dollars but no gift card. I went back and joined the line and told the associate he didn't hand me back the card. he told me he threw it out! I told him to dumpster dive for it and he firmly just said (they already emptied the trash) I was like how could they so quickly!!???? he looked away and continued like I never existed and that ladies and gentlemen is America.
I did a customer survey and target told.me they would give me back my 40 plus 20 for the inconvenience but it's not about that. it's the betrayl of customers trust and the dishonesty and the way they treated me. why give me a gift card to your store if I don't want to go back and be treated like a dog? this really hurt my feelings and literally made me for the first time in my life ever wished I...
Read more10/31/22 Went to store to find rechargeable batteries on Halloween, my mistake here.
Being an middle-aged man, I understand that stores do not keep all batteries together. They are a see and buy item usually strategically placed. So my problem, as I was wandering around the store looking for other battery displays, carrying a 20 pack with me in plain sight. A rather large man in a target shirt started following me. Not directly, but watching me. So I finally decide on getting the pack of batteries and some sharpies, since you did not have the rechargeable ones I was looking for, and head to check out. As I am checking myself out I hear someone behind me saying "he is at checkout". I turn around and look and see this man standing within grabbing distance looking at me. First, assumption is the mother of all screw ups. Second, I understand the idea of security, but it suppose to be done discretly, so a person not doing anything wrong can shop in peace and not feel like a target... no pun intended. Third, if his plan was to stop me as a suspected shoplifter before I left the store, not legal. A person must cross past the doorways for it to be considered theft.
Not good for business, to have you customers feel like they are being scrutinized and judged...
Read moreTerrible service- I will never buy from this Target ever. I went in looking for rollerblades and found them. The box stated it fit sizes kid 1to4 and did not give the European measurement. I wear a 4 or 5 sometimes and it can be difficult to size properly. The box was made like a boot box where the lid lifted up and you could take the rollerblade out to view the adjustable back and was not taped or sealed in anyway. An employee reprimand me for "opening the box" which was made like a shoe box and then took it away. I didn't even take it out of the box or try it on or unpackage the item. He took it away as if I had damaged then item or compromised the integrity of the item and told me I was never allowed to do that again. I was going to look at a second pair and choose between the two, but felt disrespected and confused. My husband and I left and will...
