Dollar General — Local services in Terra Alta

Absolutely awful. The employees on tonight, Angie and a red head lady who had no name tag on, were awful. They had carts full of items all around the store that they didn't touch and only moved them so that they could walk and hang out elsewhere. Usually, the store and the employees are pretty good, but these two were not. They love to misgender you, and will even tell you "No." when you try to correct them and continue doing it to your face. They were extremely disrespectful when we had to come back later in the night for some other supplies as well. More than likely never going to return as long as these two """"ladies""""" are employed. Edited to add: Angie also coughed in her hands repeatedly and on top of the items I was purchasing. Used said coughed on hands to touch all over each of the items purchased. Was not wearing a mask at all. Edited on Oct. 8th: Went back today to pick up a couple of things, the red haired lady was back and she was glaring at me the entire time I was at the store. After it was clear I was going to buy merchandise, she disappeared to the back of the store, holding the same baby outfit she had been holding since I had walked in. Store was a mess, Halloween section entirely blocked from access and several aisles were too. Pictures were all taken at around 4:30PM today.

UPDATE It has been almost two years since posting this review, and while things have slightly improved (not as many boxes everywhere/having the ability to navigate the store), the employee's have somehow gotten worse. One of the employees, Logan, will stalk you around the store and will put his hands on you to "scare" you, as if it is some kind of joke. Last week I had sent an email over this employee and his harrassment toward myself and other family members and still have yet to have any sort of response, and seemingly no action has been taken, as Logan is still working and has still been following people...

I was shopping around, I had food and a keychain when the employee walked by, she then stopped and started following me around store no matter where I went. I decided not to buy the keychain and put it on the shelf. She hurried up and grabbed the key chain from the shelf. Because of action I felt really uncomfortable and decided to check out even though there were a few more things I needed. She then began making very rude remarks, saying it's hard to tell what I shoved in my pockets. I offered to empty my pockets and everything else out right there on the counter in front of her before I paid for the items I bought and left the store. However she did not want any part of that. Instead of allowing me to prove my innocence, she barred me from the store and accused me of being a thief. I am well known around town and I go into peoples homes everyday due to my maintenance job and I have never had a complaint...

This used to be a very nice and convenient place to shop but the last couple month's have been awful every time I need something quick there always closed. My daughter went to apply for a job, she was told they have enough employees! Clearly they don't or the store would be open. Went to BFS bought the things I needed 3 times the price, the worker said she knew of 20 people tried to apply and were told the same thing. Corporate should show up to check...
