I was referred to Lewis & Burge by our close friend and real estate agent, Debbie Beitzel. We had a problem with our heater and another company, who installed the heater originally, came out to diagnose. We were told it needed a burner and cleaning, and do not use the heater. This was Wednesday, Dec. 30. We had to rely on our fireplace and purchased three electric heaters. As of Monday, Jan.4, we still heard nothing. Debbie suggested we call Lewis & Burge, which we did on Sunday, Jan. 2, evening. We received a phone call before 9 AM on Monday, Jan.4. We were told someone would be out between Noon and 1 PM. The technician, Joe Gibson, arrived at 11 AM. Joe was courteous, friendly and very thorough. Within about a half hour he diagnosed the system. He did a cleaning of each burner tube and suggested the heater may also need a part. Once the burner tubes were cleaned and installed the heater worked fine and did not need the part. We are VERY satisfied with Joe Gibson's performance and customer service and will now HIGHLY recommend Lewis & Burge to everyone and will use them for our heater service. Thank you for your EXCELLENT...
Read moreThis company is worthless as far as plumbing issues go. The person I spoke to (after finding a number which wasn't a fax line, which seems to be the only thing they list on initial web searches) was very short with me in conversation and quite dismissive. Last thing he said to me was, that's an installation issue, we don't do installations? After that and all the previous run around, I told him they were worthless and I'd call someone else. I wish I could rate them at zero stars. I did receive one piece of useful advice, have the septic checked and pumped if needed... since that was something I was planning on anyway though, it wasn't a revelation. I just wanted someone to check previous work done and correct any possible deficiencies or let me know what needed to be corrected, this guy wouldn't even LET me get to that point with his frequent interruptions and dismissive attitude. Lousy customer service and business practice. This happened today (2/2/23 @ 10ish AM) Maybe I'll just buy myself a book on plumbing and do it myself... since people just don't seem to want to work anymore. Going to try A.D. Naylor in...
Read moreAbout a year ago I called Lewis & Burge about a sewer problem. The man who answered the phone screamed at me "No, No, No! You need to call Morgantown for sewer problems! We aren't going to do that anymore!" I live about 3/4 of a mile from this business and doubt I would ever use them. He was rude then hung up on me. I have since been told that they do work on sewer systems but that that man doesn't like too and that he talks to...
