The staff here at this store feel more like family than staff. All associates me and my family encountered were so helpful and friendly. That being said we could have shopped longer if not for the blazing hot, stuffy, sticky conditions of a store with NO air conditioning!!! James Cash Penny would roll in his grave to see his associates cooking to death in his store. There were some Corporate members in the store that were ignoring all of this as they glided around the store as if it were gilded in gold. The store manager told me that the air conditioner was being looked at today, but as everyone in Terre Haute knows, this store hasn’t had proper A/C since the 70’s. The public restrooms were filthy get this store some janitors. Also, female employees should not be allowed in the men's fitting room while men are trying on clothes. Today, I was with my son, who was trying on dress pants and jeans. While he was in the dressing room, a female employee walked in, grabbed a shirt to put away, and walked out. A moment later, she returned and re-entered the men's dressing room. This time, walking to the right deeper into the dressing room where the dressing room stalls are. I nicely said, "Someone is in there." She glanced over her shoulder at me and continued deeper into the dressing room. A few minutes later, she walked back past me with her nose in the air. Once again, saying nothing. I thought she was very rude. I looked for a name tag, but she was just wearing a generic JCP lanyard. She was probably in her mid 40's with dark hair that was pulled back. If it is a common practice for women employees to enter men's dressing rooms and men to enter womens dressing rooms while customers are trying on clothes, then the policy needs to be reconsidered. Read moreDO NOT BUY ONLINE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND COUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Did an online order today for family Christmas pajamas for a polar express trip in a couple of weeks. Was so excited to get an email stating that my order was confirmed and even received a tracking number for my order. 30 minutes later I received another email that one item was on backorder. The pajamas for my son. When I called customer service, the lady informed me that they could not tell me how long the backorder would take. I told her I wanted to cancel the order entirely then. The point is to have everyone in matching pajamas and that is really going to break a 4 year olds heart when he is the only one not included. She said I could NOT do that. I asked for a supervisor and she said why they are just going to tell you the same thing and you will be on hold even longer (I had to wait over 30 minutes just to talk to her). I told her I want a supervisor no matter what. I was then put on hold and hung up on. I called multiple times before actually speaking to a supervisor who said you only have 5 to 10 minutes to cancel an order!!! That doesn't work when the company emails you 30 minutes after placing the order and then customer service takes another 30 plus minutes to answer the phone. I will NEVER ORDER...
